Nothing so generic and bland as a 'Fighters Guild' or 'Mages Guild' though.

Choose what it does.
And depending on the choice we get unique quests.

No. But since this isn't mass effect, there may just be in this one.kyles3 wrote...

I would quite like it, if it was well done. Give us some extra quest and allies based on the guilds we choose, perhaps some talents and skills that become available when we enter it, and make some of them mutually exclusive.

The idea of factions or guilds is actually pretty appealing. Hawke isn't a Grey Warden so it makes sense for him to ally with the various factions to advance.
Hawke isn't a Grey Warden? I thought he was since he is going to be building an army...so he's kind of like Loghain then--the Hero of the River Dane or however he refers to himself...

Yes, but they won't.The Console Version is good wrote...
In this game we are pretty much a free lancer and not a warden anymore so why not add different guilds and factions you can choose? Just saying.

LOL they pop out some Sherman Anti-Trust Act in Cyrodil. I know that wasn't believable, but I thought it worked for Oblivion. I mean I spent so many hours exploring/playing out the guilds. Due to that, I forgot all about the main campaign--so I was dealing with less than deadly allies with MOAR! than deadly foes.

That would actually give meaning to the "rise to power" and create a force that the conflicting sides of the game would want to have with them. That would also allow the player to be neutral and enforce that neutrality.
