post this thread in the dragon age section because a admin comes and
closes the thread and i probably get banned.
So, i have read the
announcement about dragon age 2, and i noticed this one
"Dragon Age 2 thrusts players into the role
of Hawke, a penniless
refugee who rises to power to become the
single most important character
in the world of Dragon Age"
So,
in dragon age 2 you will not be able to create a custom character? You
will play just with the main character named Hawke? Like a shooter
game...
Please answwer...

A male character that is a refugee with the last name hawke.
Or a female one.
You get to still choose how you look and what class you play.

Like in Mass Effect, you'll have casts, -hopefully skills, but I'm already afraid what the dynamic combat system means, I hope it won't get simplified to a God of War QTE game, but hey, I have trust in BioWare-
This way you'll get voiced dialogues. But you will loose a tremendous amount of conversation options, and a lot of other customization (the race for example and the following consequences). Again, thanks for the guys and gals who whined for voiced main hero, because they can't read.
So it's a pretty controversial feature. The storytelling changes from first person perspective to third person perspective. Which is not a bad thing, only different - but then the game shouldn't be called Dargon Age 2 as the foundations of the storytelling is changed.
I'd prefer a subtitle, for eg: Dragon Age: Hawke Effect, or something like that, to reflect that it is different in the basics.

If this is correct then character costumization is as deep as any other rpg out there other than DA:O.

think of it as only having one origin story to choose from.Calin Pandurescu wrote...
I know it will be available to change his name and his face and the gender and the class. So, we will not be able to play a origin kind, like in dragon age 1.Depending of the origins you will be different appreciated and recognized by the people you get in contact.
Thanks

Will I be able to play DA2, I only have one hand. I bought ME but was unable to play it because of the need to use both tbe mouse and the keyboard. I have enjoyed playing DAO and DAA because I can do both using just the mouse.
I believe they've said that the controls and interface are largely unchanged from DAO.

If I had a dollar for the number of times I have heard people here say that I'd be rich.

You could wait until after it's out and ask people on the forums or elsewhere. Or maybe ask a dev beforehand and hope that they are able to give you a straight yes or no.Paigan32 wrote...
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if a game can be played with just the mouse without buying it, loading it and then not being able to return it?
*wonders why a three-month-old thread had to be resurrected for a totally unrelated question*

I used this thread because I was unable to find one that was better. I am vvery new at using the forums and i am unable to find a guide book. ( joking)
You could make your own thread. At the top of the board, theres a button (create new topic). More people will see your question because some just read the top, 3 month old post and exit, without seeing your question.

One thing I'm very proud of is our award as Accessible Game of the Year for 2009. We will be taking the same approach for DA2, so on PC you should find that DA2 is quite easy to play. In fact, we've even added a "pause game" button (ala Baldur's Gate) on screen, so you'll theoretically never have to move your hand off your mouse.
