I sincerely hope that we can change out characters appearance in-game this time. I'm not talking about facial structure and stuff, that wouldn't make any sense to change. But if the story takes place over 10 years, does it make sense that Hawke would look exactly the same for that whole decade? I want to be able to change the haircut, beard, add a tattoo of badassery +1 mid-point in the game, maybe even get some scars.
For example, wouldn't it be awesome if, at some point in the game, you got really close to a Dalish clan. After being accepted, you could get tattoo'ed with Vallaslin to show your respect and loyalty to the clan.
In game customisation - you know it makes sense!

True, except it's a small feature instead of a gimmick the whole game is based on.

This. Please let's not compare this to a pseudo-casualized and gimmicy action RPG that delivered 1/4 of what was promised (as usual per molineux standards).
At least I HOPE it won't go that way.
Even if I wouldn't call it a "small" feature. Customization is important for MANY gamers. Want proof? Look at APB. The game is entirely poor, and I mean entirely. Reviews are rightfully maiming it, but it's still selling pretty well. Why? because it offers very strong customization options.

clothes, armor, weapon, hair and facial hair, coat of arms
costumization option for all of these would satisfy me greatly

Since it takes place during 10 years, I'd say it would be logical. I want my character to have longer/different hair than he did 5 years ago

You forgot to slap a Dragon Age logo on that image.

Man-Giraffe-Dog has been spotted! It's all over the news! MGD is the greatest threat to mankind ever and I've come
here to warn you! Here's Proof (person who took the picture was brutally killed 5 seconds after taking it)

Still Super Duper Serial.
