I am sure this is not going to be a ME2 replica.

Hell YEAH!!! DA2 is shaping up to be a billion times better than DAO. Our PC will probably have a voice, we can only play as human making downloadable content dealing with armors and such much easier to handle for the devs, the story is shaping up to be truly epic....we play as the most powerful character that ever lived in the DA universe in his rise to power. Everything about this game sounds beyond amazing......completely stomps DAO in terms of awesomeness like a giant crushing an ant.
I just have to be a arrogent ass and say that I wanted my Warden to be the one that is doing what Hawke is doing, so yea I'am arrogent and a bastard.

From what I have read:
Some people dont like the fact that your character is going to be a Dragon Age type Commander Shepard, others do (some people really liked the different origins).
Some people dont like how the game is being more consolized, others do.
And the changes to the dialogue: - Some like it, others dont like it.

New info!
I think this is not as bad as i would have expected it to be.
I think this game could rival DAO in story...but still feels it lost a lot of replayability.

DAO always felt like a regular classic story.

No, not excited. My soul also hasn't been totally crushed either.
I'm not exactly jazzed about the recent releases of information but I'm waiting to hear more before I place a preorder or slide it back into a bargain bin purchase (like I should have done with Awakening).

Now that i think about it the story Could be better than DAO
DAO always felt like a regular classic story.
They are trying to make this story about the character, rather than simply another "powerful guy gets recruited into serious business order of warrior/protector people and saves the world from evil" story.
Don't get me wrong, I love KOTOR, and Jade Empire, and Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. But that archetype can only be played out so many times. I welcome this...new-ness.

I hope they are clever in retelling the story of Hawke.

I'll like DA2...but will I have regrets that it should be more like DAO?
I felt this way after getting ME2...I loved and enjoyed it...but wished it was more closely aligned with the first game...

I hope Becoming the Champion of Kirkwall is not the end goal.Would like something grander being the main objective.
I hope they are clever in retelling the story of Hawke.
Bioware has been criticized many times for having the GREAT HERO SAVE THE WORLD plot line in most of their games...
Though I'll like whichever route they take.
