1.) Im still on the fence about the direction the "artwork" is going....One day I like it, the next I dont. So, until I can see some more "recent" screens, Im going to try and remain pretty apprehensive about this.
2.) I hope...hope hope hope hope HOOOOPE that there is a New Game Plus feature this time around. That's the ONE thing that kept me from playing DA:O more than 3-4 times. Where as with ME and ME2 (ME2 actually because I no longer play ME1) I am STILL playing it even now simply because of the New Game Plus feature.
The rest of the game could be practically identical to DA:O in every way, just so long as there is a New Game Plus in this one, I'll buy it...Otherwise, as I've said before in other threads, this one will be going to my "rental" list.

as long as you are able to choose Hawke's Race and gender I'm fine with the new direction.
Gender yes....Race, no...You can ONLY be Human...As Im sure someone else has already pointed out to you most likely

Ever since I played DAO through the first time I wanted a second game!

But seriously I am really looking forward to this, mostly due to the progression in story telling, the narrative style described seems like a bold and innovative choice for the genre. I really like the look of the new darkspawn as they look more like the altered humans etc they are rather than a re-imaging of orks et al.
I will be blown away if the cinematic highlights are the equal of the first but given the polish shown in ME2.
I'm so excited I'm gonna go and have a red bull & bar of chocolate to calm down!

a adventure game where you can play Mario,
I'm okay with this. Everything in DAO would have been a hundred percent better if you were playing mario. Slaying the arch demon as mario. He'd be a two handed dwarf warrior... Quick someone make that mod.

I am sure when more info comes out it might turn out to be a better game in a different way.justlogme wrote...
Was excited till I found out they were seriously dumbing it down to the point it really isn't Dragon Age at all. I'm not really interested in playing biowares character. I'm also more then alittle scared/worried by the commetns of Darrah that have me seriuously worried about who really is designing/developing the game. Looks like EA's calling the shots. It appears Dragon age II will be more of a adventure game where you can play Mario, oops i mean Hawk, then a RPG

I'll probably be more excited (or less depending!) when we hear more about the companions.
But less, I'm excited, just cautious about a lot of things I'm not sure about. I just hope this game doesn't end up being Mass Effect: Swords Edition. We'll see
