I have to say yes. I can build my character, choose his appearance, make choices in the dialogue and storyline and interact with a cast of companions and affect my character's relationship with them.
It lacks none of these, so I think to say it is not an RPG would be patently false.

It's more of a storyline action/adventure game with RPG elements. Nothing wrong with that, per se, but it isn't a traditional RPG. DA:O was closer to being a traditional RPG. This is more like Mass Effect, which I see as a storyline shooter with some RPG elements as well.

Probably, but the first ME itself was never really trying to be anything like a traditional RPG, whereas DA:O was.

Its a action rpg. Where both the action part and the rpg part is bad.
