Dear Ladies and Gentlemen at Bioware,

There was very little I didnt like (well love) about Origins, ahh I loved it so much.Image IPB I think I played it through at least thirty times!! I just loved the many different beginnings and endings, the CC and then the fantastic mods made by our clever community. They added many more wonderful hours of fun too!

But the one part of DAO that I really disliked more than anything was the female armours, oh they were so nasty. I do not wish to offend anyone who loved them but for my taste they were so dowdy and unfeminine.

Here I want to post pictures from NWN2 of some of the wonderful and unique armours available there.

Maybe you can bring new fashions to the Origins world by introducing a new fashion designer from Orlais, she could move to  Denirim and set up shop with some marvellous and wonderful new armour and clothes designs.

Maybe you could involve the community in designing some of the new garments by running some sort of competition to get peoples ideas of what designs they would like to see in DA2?

There must be a way to incorporate some of the most wonderful aspects of NWN2 fashion ideas into the DA world.

Please please Bioware people consider this idea as I really would love to see this area of the game improved upon for DA2.

Many thanks.

(Some nice mods appearing ingame (NWN2), sorry for poor pictures)

Hello Onion, my topic wasnt about those types of mods, some of them I like but if you read carefully you can see I am asking for types of armours as you can see above, the NWN 2 models. i will remove the other sexier mods as I can see that causing confusion as to what I am looking for.

@Spoonage, I thought they did make NWN 2! Oh dear. (I just fixed my post, thanks for that :) )

That could acctually work IRL. If you're just wearing a G-string I'm going to pay more attention to you. Whether your male or female.

I'd love some new and sexy "in camp" fashions, but when I am in the field, I want armor that is going to keep me alive....please no exposed midriffs....no warrior worth her salt would expose her middle to a blade.

And could we get rid of the pointy mage hats??? If I really want to punish Morrigan, I make her wear one.

'Sigh'

Does ANYONE have anything relevant to add?

No offense guys/gals but I actually am serious about better fashion ideas, the whole lingerie issue can be left to the modders.

@ Carmen, thanks!! I totally agree with you! I think the examples I posted are practical and feminine!

This. I'd like hats that aren't desinged by the weirdest gayest men in Thedas.

I don't mind armors too much on DA, I really dislike the undergarments. They look so ugly.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. That you don't want your character to lose their femininity and thus - in some respect - a part of their character. But at the same time, there is a roughly 67% chance your character will be wearing armour of some sort. Armour is (mostly) made to stop to people from dying. Aesthetic properties come afterward. Mage clothing on the other hand can do whatever the crap it wants, because it's well....clothing

They really are!! Irk!! :(

Yes Blue Bird, I agree and thats why I think truely any female adventurer would certainly welcome armour that is strong and resilient but also a little feminine. No reason why armour makers can't design metals and leather to protect and look good for us lady players.

I think too its about variety, as in NWN2, the variety there is incredible!! It really rocks!!

I don't see how the original game NWN2 armors are more feminine than the ones in DA:O. The only really feminine looking ones out of them is the rogue one and the red wizard of thay armor.(And even then, it looks similar to a lot of the DA armors. Which.. In my opinion look much better than it.)

And the few modded armors you have left screenshot wise would make absolutely no sense in DA or NWN2.(Impractical much?)

Oh yes, Those dresses will definitely protect from sword slashes and blunt crushes, I mean who wants to wear something heavy and ugly when you can wear latex ?

not saying I want "sexy" or revealing female armor.......I just want more variety in the armor design..........for both males and females. I don't want to see the same boring reskins. Same goes for weapons.

Like........idk......ARMORED ROBES for my Arcane Warrior mage ( Duncan's Armor would be nice too.......)

and....I think it would be extremely cool if we could actually customize the look ( and stats ) of our armor.

Say we like a particular armor's visual style...but we simply want to change the color. It would be nice if we could do that.....

ewwww it'd get a -10 charisma if it was a male running around in a G for me! lol

agreed with the fashions. i hope they improve and make them more unique to the classes. (ie rouges and warriors) mostly i would like it to 'make sense' with the materials/textiles. (being in the forest, leatherhide/lightweight armor/animals etc.  said in another thread- mages have these feather cap shoulders.... but their aernt any birds around and they can't leave the tower....enchantment! )
:wizard:

also said awhile back, hope they fix the physics, if they decide to do flowing robes/sashes/sleeves. can't be walking around like christmas trees.(both problems in the ME and DA universe)

My opinion only I'd like to say but I really think if you have ever played NWN2 you might be inclined to prefer the choices and styles available there, some of DA stuff is ok but it got boring really quickly for me, now I can't stand the rogue and mage outfits. :(

Agree with the OP. A lot of the armours (especially the leather armours) in DA had no variety beyond a little bit of colour tinting. SOME variation in appearance would be good - and hey, if a character wants to wear a chainmail bikini, dammit, let her, or him (I don't judge). It just shouldn't have amazing protective stats, and a few people may laugh and point. Or keel over, whatever.

You're assuming that I haven't played NWN2. I have. I've played it quite a bit. The armor textures for NWN2 are much lower resolution than the armors in DA:O. Not to mention, many of the armors in NWN2 are based specifically for D&D classes. Which are a bit different than DA classes.(Though they're often similar. The subclasses in DA don't get specific armor.)

While I would like new armor. I don't want anything like NWN2, or the modded beauty queen style dresses that you posted above.

I do prefer the DA armor to NWN2 armor. Why? The NWN2 armor is dated, and most of the DA armor is pretty practical looking. That's not to say that I necessarily dislike the NWN2 armor. I'd just rather that they keep with lore friendly well made armor models for DA.

I'd definitely like better looking (though still sensible) and more varied armour. Especially all those hats - they made everyone look so stupid.
