I don't know if I'd call that an improvement, exactly...

I don't know that I'd call it armor either.

Yeah...that's not really an improvement. Neither are the hairstyles which I think the best description I've heard them called is "gothic weaboo loli".

I like the practical armor females wear and I don't think they're inherently unfeminine. I found heavy armor looked nice on all of my female warriors and massive armor is just terrible regardless of gender. Robes could use some improvement but they're not terrible - it's just that the cloth is so stiff.

I think maybe the real issue here is the utter lack of variety when it comes to gear. ME suffered the same issue but it was negligible since they were combat suits but Origins only has a handful of armor models that are just recolored constantly.

armor protect, panty protect, game read as armour, panty is Armour.

This is sig worthy

They should let you design Armour paint like car car livery in Need For Speed Shift.

This would help in MMO too as everyone run around with same Armour.

If feminine means the lingerie that modders parade as armor then no thanks.

I agree.  I want my fighter to look good and be safe.  Something that will protect the soft body parts.

I do agree that the clothing was bland and capes for the mage is always nice, but I'm just not sure my fighter would survive very long with her middle showing.

I have seen some nice mods out there, and some style would be great, but reasonable style, not lingerie armor.

I don't think I will ever see a Single Player game go into the customization that I've seen in CoV/CoH/Champions Online/APB.

You can make your person anything and the only limit was your imagination.

I'd definitely like some more variety in the armour models (sorry, but it is rather hard to take 'unique' item descriptions seriously when it's obviously the same as another set in a slightly different shade), but I'm afraid I disagree slightly on the criticisms of the female armour. I liked that for the most part the armour looked like it could actually protect the characters rather than show off their figures, and I was actually mildly irritated with the whole cleavage thing going on the light armour (and the instant boob job chasind robes).

I don't mind so much if they feel like dressing the mages up a bit prettier (and unless the ugly hats are compulsory for mages, I'm sure no-one would complain if they were changed), but I'd really rather the focus be maintained on armour that looks like it works. Still, as long as Bioware don't start taking tips from a lot of the modders (fight in bikinis! Totally functional and totally not going to get you torn into ribbons!), I'm unlikely to throw a huge hissy fit one way or the other.

Practical's good, but it doesn't have to be the same outfit. All the leather armours are exactly the same, leaving my rogues looking very boring. I have about 6 pairs of jeans. I don't have the same pair of jeans 6 times.

i wouldn't mind some different styles being available.  Different colors  and someone mentioned in camp casual, that would be great.

I usually pick up this type of game for the pc just so I can download some mods with different hair and clothing.

I would actually appreciate a larger range of dress styles than what was provided in origins and awakening, for both male and female characters. Maybe more class or speciality specific equipment, something more relevent to the character. Really tired of seeing clunky armor, and dresses. :/

It would be cool to have the option to place cloth over your Armour without any stat boosts, purely aesthetic.

I like that idea! I bet there are many ways Bioware could implement new designs, colours and textures! I hope they read this thread as I have seen a lot of really good idea's.!

Hoods and Circlets > pointy feathered hats.
More functional, better looking, less likely to be shot in the head by someone out bird hunting.

Absolutely true, I just wish the hoods... I'm not quite sure how to phrase it, fell better? I'd quite like some hoods that looked like Morrigan's in the concept art, but I can understand hoods like that being a little difficult to implement due to the overlap onto the rest of the body.

How does this sound for female armour/clothing?

One outfit of fan service bikini chain usable by all origins, one outfit of practical, realistic armour scaled in light, medium and heavy and two wildly different mage robes (formal dress and field dress). Throw in the idea of cloth covering (tabards) and you can have a wide variety of colours and emblems and still have the same basic armour design.

That's not very many designs and would cover almost all the bases. The bikini wear would likely gather dust in my closet, but if having steel g strings boosts sales, then that's fine.
