At the start of ME3, many of your former squad mates COULD BE dead....
So, we'll need new allies.  What would you like to see for a new companion?
Make up a character!
Here is my first try:

Crae
Vorcha Female
Soldier class

Crae could be a 13 yr old Varren who wants to get out of her poor suroundings and see the universe.
She starts with really poor skills and a weak pistol but is eager to please.

As the game progressses she quickly gains skill and later expresses to Shephard a desire to hatch a brood of Varren babies in the storage room.

How would a Varren use a pistol? AFAIK they don't have hands nor the intelligence to operate one.

You already can acquire a Varren at Tuchanka. Its a really good pit fighter.

Oops! I meant a Vorcha! Damn, too many aliens that start with V: Volus, Vorcha, Varren...

Anyway, It would also be cool to have a pet varren on the ship, or one that could accompany me on missions... WITH A PISTOL! LOL

A thresher maw would be nice - though its a bit problematic to get one onto the Normandy and taking it to the Citadel for example - but it would eat Collectors for breakfast.

Maybe you could keep it in the cargo hold?:D

Any interesting human.*

And to be productive:  I'd like Urz to join full time.  I liked the dog in DA, and I really liked Urz; he could be the faithful hound that goes down with you (if Shepard dies of course).

*Note that I don't dislike the current humans, it's just that they feel very, well, uninteresting.

A batarian. All I want is a batarian. (And a hanar, but the chances of that...) And yes, for all the batarian haters, there should be an option to kill him when you first meet him.

I told you that you needed to cut down on the Red Alert 3.  You remember what happened last time.

I'm in the process of creating two thorough character concepts, complete with illustrations, skills, backstory, and personality. I just finished the illustration for one; you can take a look here. I have written down the other things but they are not yet complete.

It'd be awesome to recruit a Collector that somehow had prothean intelligence and somehow managed to survive the end of ME2

I'd like to see either a vorcha, batarian, or female turian squadmate, preferably the last, since those are the species we've not had as part of our team at one point.

Another Turian. An old Turian war general, who talks with a gruff voice, like Vin Deisel or Steve Downes, like a Turian version of Zaeed, sort of like a mentor to Garrus or something.

A vorcha would be fantastic. One would make a cool teammate for some of the same reasons I found the decisions to have Legion and Grunt along so intriguing.

Also, Urz. Don't quite know how he'd be able to come along and help you kill enemies in some situations (I'd facepalm at dog in a spacesuit) but yeah. I found myself wishing I could take Urz along on the Normandy.

I'm sure people have joked about this before, but in all seriousness I'd kinda like to see a Volus squad mate. If you were to make him kinda like a ME1 style Infiltrator (sniper w/ some tech skills) it would kinda be in line with typical Volus skills. Maybe throw in a negotiation bonus just to give a nod to them being businessmen.

Also, I think a Vorcha could be an interesting partner for a renegade player if there was some cruel way of keeping it under their control, like a slave collar or an indentured servitude contract. Make it so the only way to have him on the squad is to take the very renegade option of bringing him on as a slave.
