Will the new mechanics be more like Mass Effect than Fable or remain CRPG top down with wow bar and multi-people spells?

They need to sort potions, in Dragon Age you could hold millions in inv with little cool down and buy unlimited amount through craft.

God, don't say that. Not even in jest. The 3rd-person action RPG crowd can play Diablo 3.

Sure it will. Your sword/staff/dagger now also uses Lyrium as ammunition.

If you fire too many shots at once your staff will overheat.

*clashing swords* Large scale battle is going on:

"Oh my, I'm injured, I hope you don't mind if I just throw my back at the nearest wall for a minute?"

"Sure old bean, go on. I put the tea kettle on fire meanwhile. How many biscuits do you want with your afternoon mayhem break tea?"

You don't have to take the potions. Do a nightmare run without consumables if you want to amp the difficulty. Just don't take the option away.

It just seems insane that it wouldn't be.  Here is hoping.  Dragon Age is the last of the mohicans in carrying on this tradition.

Yes. It's called a tank with Shield Wall/Taunt and health potions.

Yeah.  And potion spam.

It sucked but hey at least you did not health regen in combat...well without a spell or potion spam.

Maybe they want to get it working on consoles, because consoles aren't very complicated and people sit on couch with 8 buttons than 104 keys? Maybe Dragon Age not CRPG at all now?

They should make it more like BG conversation options:

1. I WILL KILL YOU ALL!

2. I love you and want to have your babies.

I do not do consoles really.  Did Dragon Age not play well on consoles?

Eurogamer gave it 6 and said it should have been on console at all, money grab.

I trust Eurogamer, they do decent review.

Heh, great, now we can punch out the town criers in Orzammar for their disingenious assertions.

Naaah. Keep Dragon Age as it is. The only thing judging you are your groupies, not a pair of bars to fill.

Actually put in some Splinter Cell: Conviction style interogations and i'll be happy. Its about time Bioware made an anti hero instead of Lawful Stupid and Chaotic Numb-Nuts.

I use item duplication glitch for the potions since everyone is talking about them.

Dragon Age do pretty decent job of letting you be bad.
Mass Effect pretty crap in that regard, really linear role playing, hopefully this isn't Dragon Age 2: Mass Effect with super linear story were you must be hero who only punch people in face.

Minor health regen in combat is not a bad thing, but it shouldn't make your healers redundant. That's basically all a spirit healer does - mass heal... hehe. But what if you don't want a healer? Does that mean lugging around hundreds of potions, and somehow managing to drink one while using a two-handed sword in battle? Always thought that looked dumb. You pull a potion out of your ass and swig it with an enemy right in your face.
