Now to sit back and watch people embarrass themselves by trying to critique the graphics of the game from these tiny pictures.
This part never gets old.
you're above-the-fray guy, we get it.

Hawke's pose in the first pic doesn't bode well for combat, that looks like an animation frame straight out of devil may cry or god of war.
Or the exact same finishing move from DA

Looks like an animation from the Ogre kill move from DA to me.

Since they're in what looks like a desert I have to say, even though there doesn't appear to be any sand, please please please no sand worms.

I might actually be down for a Dune retcon.

Hardly, there's a huge height difference going from around the Ogre's "heart" area to above his head and the whole swinging the sword overhead rather than stabbing thing.... the DA:O one was atleast remotely possible (although it certainly pushed the boundaries for more heavily armoured folks) but the new one is just silly.
I don't care about being realistic or anything (obviously it's a fantasy game) but that animation feels like a stock Mid air slash move I've seen in dozens of button mashers... which begs the question as to why it is in dragon age.

Yay......more darkspawn.
Well at the start of the game he/she is living In Lothering right before it is destroyed by the Blight.
I think it is safe to assume there will be Darkspawn atleast until you get out of Ferelden.

Hawke looks ok, if a bit plastic-y but whats the deal with the bland environments, bland sky and more darkspawn, when this guy isn't a Warden? Or is he?
It could definitely be worse, but this looks more like a side step graphically rather than an upgrade.

Okay that one was silly I'll admit.
My point is how does that animation in the screenshot translate into a finishing move? Or does he cut the ogre vertically in half and the body splits apart?

Um the DA:O ones were completely ridiculous and were designed to be that way. Climbing up an Ogre with swords? I mean really.
