Well, looks.... not good. Definitely Dragon Effect 2. *sigh*
You people realize these "pics" are 285x159, yes?

Clearly all games look their best at this resolution.

Anyway, I am not convinced those are DA2 screenies, because that doesn't seem like a huge departure from DA1.
If those *are* DA2 screenies, then what was the fuss about? They don't look cell shaded or whatever, like what I had been reading.

Or if that is, it must be some kinda sketch.

What? That pic looks a thousand times better than the DA2 ones.

... Yeah, do not want. Fix this ****, BioWare. Consider the fact that not everyone is going to play a stinkin' warrior.

Well, the environments still look boring as ever. The Hawke guy in the second pic looks ok, but very...cartoonish? It just reminds me of a He-Man cartoon or something...
Disappointed that the lighting still looks like rubbish.

Let me guess, we won't be able to change body proportions meaning I'll be stuck having to playing a beefcake mage.

...And again:
You were okay playing a buff dwarf rogue?
Don't pretend like Dragon Age: Origins had that in depth of character customization.
Every race had the same body type.
Every race had the same height.
It was like the ****ing clone wars.

It has potential to look great IMO, especially with another 7 months to work on it.

Yes, they're going for a more angular comic style, but the closeup on the right shows great detail and a "human" look. Still quite believable and is good enough to allow me to immerse myself and identify with the protagonist.

You can customize your character.
Get over it.

Implying you can see any of the backgrounds in the DA2 screenshots.
Oh, you...

Well that's just the technical limitations (or rather, development limitations) of Bioware games. They always have a single body model for all characters of a given type, and they never have more than a handful of weapons/armour models that they just recolour. They also make terrible hat models in every game. Characters that have bare skin below their neck always wear collars of some sort to hide the seams between the head morph skin and the body skin.
We've come to expect these contrivances from Bioware because it's just how they do things.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining. It never really bothered me.
I'm just saying people need to get over themselves. Dragon Age wasn't as flexible as they thought it was.
