* Hawke might be wearing his Mother's locket found by the Warden.
* Hawke might be harboring ill will towards the Qunari, as he is the sole remaining member of his family, and witnessed their mass murder.
Any other pleasant conjecture is welcome!

I read that the hero will be from Lothering, and survived the Blight. Almost immediatly, my thoughts began to ponder if:
* Hawke might be wearing his Mother's locket found by the Warden.

hmmmm unfortunately it would be a huge mistake on Biowares part if Hawke ended up being red-haired bridge boy because he was not androgynous

I think one child hid beneath the corpses and escaped to tell the guards. If the child was a teenager, it could be Hawke.Kilshrek wrote...
#2 might not work at all since it was stated that Sten killed the entire household. Or I may be mistaken... But my memory says they was massacred!

I'd like it if the parent/s of Hawke where someone we met in Lothering.

The first kid in Lothering that popped into my head was the kid standing right next to the bridge entrance looking for his mother. I don't think that is the same kid as the "Keepsake" mission... or maybe I'm just crazy. Though the kid at the bridge had red hair. The surviving kid idea sounds interesting though.
