Sounds good, still sad about not being able to pick a different race, but at least you can still customize your character.

Please do not turn this title into a console-friendly Dragon Effect... There's little information of course, but can I ask a question? Can I? Thank you. What the **** is, "Think like a general and fight like a Spartan with dynamic new combat mechanics that put you right in the heart of battle whether you are a mage, rogue, or warrior." What the **** do you mean new combat mechanics? This is a pause-and-play game, there's NO need for a new combat mechanics. ORIGINS, Bioware, origins...

It's probably just a more user friendly tactics system that was in DA:O....doesn't sound very catchy though does it...
So we are going back to the times when games were actually different for each system? Well, maybe it is the solution to the console vs PC issue.Lintanis wrote...

PC combat largely unchanged, console combat changed to better suit the controller quoted from Game Informer magazine, see more info click the link in my sig

I don't think the ability to customise your appearance has been set in stone yet...the only thing confirmed in that article was the ability to change gender...

That's a good question, and it's only DA2's gameplay that can answer it.Lolzika wrote...
can't we create our own characters in DA2?

As long as the character customization and other RPG elements remain as strong as in DA: Origins then these changes will only create a far more thrilling experience.
I wonder how my DA: Origins character is going to ty in with Hawke's story. I've invested to much time, effort and affection into my character for him to be pushed into a supporting role.
I am really interested and excited about how Bioware is going to handle that.

In DAO, we could create our own characters.
In Mass Effect, we could only customise the pre-generated character.
It remains to be seen which DA2 will allow.

You can pick between a number of voices (not only one per gender)
Yes, but who is he? What is he like?Avilan II wrote...
Well it is pretty clear, from what has actually been said, that:
You can only be human
You can change gender
You can change between the same three classes (mage / figher / rogue) as in DA:O.
You can make any face you want
You can pick between a number of voices (not only one per gender)
Most likely you can still choose between TWF, DWF, S&B, Bow rogue, Backstab rogue...
Basically you will be able to build your human with the exact same diversion as you could in DA:O.

In DAO, we got to decide that. In ME we didn't. That's the difference. We don't know which model DA2 uses.

even if you can make your own char again it still sucks that the story of the old char is closed but it s not finished. I would really appreciate it if they would continue the story of the old char somehow and answer the open questions then i would gladly play a new one

Um... yes we do. They've already said in their forum replies that the game is about deciding who he is and what he is like and that he is not a defined character ilke Shepherd.
