Agreed also hopefully it wont be in 3D.Thomas9321 wrote...
Hooray now I can watch someone else interact with the world just like in Mass Effect! I can watch some American voice actor totally determine the way my character interacts with the world! Honestly, does anybody give a toss about a more cinematic game experience?

My only concern is that the story may feel like Fable, with the story focusing soley on his rising in power, though I've never played Fable so I might like that.
I'm hoping part of the story is him redeeming himself by helping Kirkwall against darkspawn though.

Mass Effect felt like i was watching it.
Dragon Age felt like i was living it.
Ruin our fantasy Bioware.
Im not buying this. I expected so much from Dragon age 2 and for it all to be took away. Jerks
Well,
If u are judging DA2, already with that very few information we have, i guess u must be the jerk not BioWare.
They just improving the game, not ruining it.
Whats wrong with u ppl?
And yes I am judging DA2 already because I hat everything about it so far even the leaked screen shots look terrible.
But still you can choose not to buy this game.
Voice is clearly improvement. Forcing to play human not, but i guess we will get incredible story instead. Just wait for more info and the game.

You can't say "clearly improvement" on something that is clearly a matter of opinion:)

I'm thinking Hawke was probably rather young when he fled Lothering. Could be wrong - but I still don't see anything cowardly about an unskilled, armourless refugee fleeing from the darkspawn horde. Maybe he becomes heroic later...over a ten year period...as suggested by the press release.
I agree with you. It seems to me like some people are assuming Hawke was a fully trained soldier at the time or something.

That's the first possible person from Lothering I thought about too... the orphan whose mother was killed, by the bridge right ? And yeah he would be the bridge from DA:O to DA2 as he actully met the Grey Warden etc. A pretty cool idea, though it is only speculations so far.
...Except for the fact that Hawke can be female.

Bioware...keep the suspense and promise of what appears to be a very good game up...I've not been so stoked about a game since Dragon Age:Origins was announced....and that game turned out to be okay...i've enjoyed all DLC will enjoy the rest and will surely enjoy DA2

Basically when we upload characters we will all look like HawkeThomas9321 wrote...
See the problem is, Hawke is becoming a character of his own. He is no longer OUR character, He's Bioware's character that we're being allowed to play as. It all becomes meaningless. Look at the people talking about his fleeing Lothering, they shouldn't be doing that. Hawke has become a character independent of the player.

I'd like to also point out that you couldn't change your last name in DA:O either, if someone hasn't already.
Cousland, Tabris, so on and so forth, they were all picked for you at the start depending on the origin.

You can't argue against Hawke being voiced. One of the worst parts of DA:O is that your character mindless and emotionless. All we need to hope for is what we want him/her to say to actually say it. Is it to much to ask to just copy and paste the script into the dialog choice?
Your character is only as mindless and emotionless as you are.
