Lel DLC is 3 person party, that is why the combat seemed balance...
Does this mean DA2 we will only have a 3 person party ala Mass Effect?

Great story, great dialogue/voice acting, and good pacing. Great atmosphere!
Clocked in at 4 hours for me. Well worth the money!
I'm hoping they get a lot of good feedback on this and continue to go in this direction with future expansions/DLCs/etc.

DAO is not perfect, of course. Lel's song is run on the DAO engine, so whatever problems DAO still has, this DLC has. (bugs, graphics, framerate etc... nothing world breaking)
That aside, this is one of the finest DLC's ever put out IMO.
1. Full voices, tight story, sharp character development. Everything the DAO "story matters most" fans wanted, is here, and it's nicely done
2. Combat BALANCE! A nice challenge right off the bat, and a good mix of easy battles and a couple of tough ones. I haven't died this much since my first time in DAO at levels 1-5. I find myself being forced to use Cone of Cold, and War Hounds are giving me trouble. I actually need to think about should I go melee or range
3. Pacing is great, I had to force myself to stop playing even tho I was at a RED name boss battle I had just barely lost. Girlfriend was already in bed for 1 hour, I had stayed up late enough.
In the age of $15 MP map packs and $5 SKINs
Thank you Bioware for giving us Single Player, high quality DLC!
I find this DLC replayable as well as I could try assassin/bard next time instead of the uber ranger/bard
I do agree. Best DLC for DA:O. Even better than Soldier Peak and Stone Prisoner.
I hope for more DLC of that kind and less like Darkspawn Chronicles and Return to Ostagar.
Geat work Bioware!
PS: I loved the Tarantino's charachter presentation, music and general vibe of the story.

Major positive points:
- A well-fleshed out story, even though there wasn't any room for twists (since you've already heard Leliana's version of it).
- Terrific voice acting. Corinne Kempa was clearly one of the top talents in DA:O, and for her to have a starring role here is a huge positive.
- Shows a different side of a major character. Here we see aspects of Leliana's personality that were hinted at in Origins but never fully shown until the DLC.
- Decent challenge, and a nice change of pace from Origins (which got too easy after Level 12 or so, and the laughably easy Awakening). I play solely on nightmare on the PC, and found some of the fights here enjoyably hard. That Night Captain rocked me a few times before I took him down.
The only downers to me were:
- Pretty much all re-used areas (Denerim market, estate, Howe dungeon, Forlorn Cove, heck even Marjolaine's apartment in Denerim).
- Battledress of the Provocateur. Did we really need another leather armor that looks like every other leather armor in the game? A unique look here would've been very welcome.
- Whoever voiced Marjolaine also voicing that Chantry lady. I understand voice actors often do multiple roles, but at least make an effort to make each character sound different. Here, they sounded identical, which led to some confusion when that lady talks to Leliana through the hole in the jail...I initially (along with many other players, I'm sure) thought Marjolaine was speaking through that hole.

I do agree that if this "tale" is anything near the truth of what really happened, then i think she's got compulsive lying as a hidden skill in Origins. However, since we were given different options during the DLC i'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and decide for myself what the real story was. I would have really preferred the real story, but i can understand why they went this direction.
As it is, i played the DLC twice in a row just for the different options.
Very glad she got the first DLC pack.....
My only disappointment? Tug at the Arl's Estate....i just couldn't believe it the first time i saw it.

And damn, the Night Captain was a bastard on Nightmare.
All in all, I enjoyed this a good deal, but wish that this happened in Orlais to match what is said in DAO.

There were only one minor issue in my opinion: SPOILER-> It was weird that the priest that saved Leliana from prisonhad Marjolaines voice. It was identical. When we could not see her in the beginning I first tought it was Marjolaine, but it was clear that Leliana knew it was someone else. SPOILER END.
However; this issue was very, very small. The most important thing was the story, writing and acting. And all of this were perfect. For this low price; I give it 10/10 without doubt.
Now I hope for more DLC like this one. Would be great to play backstories for the other companions too.

OMG, made me wonder, why the hell didn't they do the Origins soundtrack better?

The medium ones:
1. I know some people liked it, but the whole "atmosphere" of the first part just didn't click with me. It seemed too whimsical and "mischievous" rather than dark, as I was expecting. It was like "tee hee, let's dump this body in the well!" I get that they refer to it as a game, but I dunno...it just didn't feel like the Leliana I know.
2. The inconsistency in the story. Enough has been said about this by others that I'll just leave it at that.
And the small one: the Chantry lady's voice DID sound exactly like Marjolaine.

I think the fully voiced conversations are great. I think this would be rather hard to implement in DA2 - since you would be able to craft your own character and having multiple tracks of multiple voices for multiple conversation choices would be stupid.

I really liked it too, aside from one small gripe and two medium gripes:

Actually, I rather quite enjoyed the beginning of the DLC. It displayed an underlying c@ckiness and free-spiritedness that you never see in Chantry-Leliana. For me, she was a really likeable character.
As the story progresses, we see her at her most vulnerable when her world comes crashing around her and she's left weeping in a prison cell. I cried too. And the music changed to suit the overall mood. From there, we see her inner strength as she picks herself up and breaks out of the prison. Very inspiring!!

The only thing I found frustrating was the PG aspect! In DAO, Leliana was "treated like a traitor" which has certain connotations to it. So when we get a cut scene to her in jail, but still in her nice armor, I'm like.. "come on", I would have liked a little more dark matter throughout.
Plus, her revenge on the man that put her in jail was lame too! I would rather have a cut-scene where she cuts him (pun intended), but instead he simply falls off a cliff to his presumed death. Get your hands dirty, like when we had to kill Conner (which I LOVED!!!)
THEN we have Marjolaine (I agree with the poster about her and the Chantry woman's voice being the same, I was equally confused). The woman she loved just betrayed her in the worst possible way.. and she just gets a simple talking to??!!??
Yes, other than this being PG, it was great. Really liked "shaming" the guard.
