Is your life so hollow that you need to see animated underwear sex?

Is your life so hollow that you need to post pointless insults against people who have a different opinion than you do?

Is your life so hollow that you need to see imaginary ogres getting decapitated?

Is your life so hollow that you need to pretend you are saving the world from a dragon?

 :o:O:O:O:O:O:O:O

I don't pretend anything.

I play video games because they are fun.

I don't play video games to lead an imaginary life, which you happen to do.

I already pwned you above kid, time to stop trying to insult me with unfunny nonsense and generic justifications for how you play videogames "because they are fun" but I don't.  That doesn't even begin to make sense.

I'm sorry you are anti-bewb.  Be sure to NEVER go to ANY ART MUSEUM in the world.

Somehow I don't get the impression that sex scenes in video games are about impartially appreciating the beauty of the human form.

I would prefer it if BW would handle their love/sex scenes in their M-rated games a little more...m-rated.

So let's have a ten minute scene where two people are rubbing each other's genitalia. Should the scene then pause and give you the option of choosing among different positions too?

[Sixty-Nine]
[Cowgirl]
[Cunninglingus]
[Regular]
[More positions...]

[ect. ect.]

Perhaps a little dialogue in the middle too?

[Moan]
[Moan hard]
[Moan really hard]
[Make her moan]

[etc. etc.]

Search "Better Sex Scenes" at http://www.dragonagenexus.com/

Problem solved, keep your niche to yourself as your continuous remarks only prove my point.
Stop bugging the devs with such a suggestion that would contribute nothing to overall gameplay and would in fact cause not only a loss in marketability, but the distain of the world.

People and their dirty, dirty, dirty. DIRTY. Minds.

I suppose underwear sex is enough, no? For me it was enough, I'd actually would've loved to see more dialogue and all, instead of a 30 second cutscene, but I suppose it was cool since it had pretty music.

I don't need an adults only version. I do, however, want a game that is uncompromising. If heads must roll and it makes combat more realistic, so be it.

If a scene calls for a boob shot, fine with me.

If people get their panties in wad from either of these things, then go play Super Mario Bros.

Horrible idea. They don't need to do anything. If the game's rated M, its M.

We don't need an AO-rated game. If you'd rather spend 60 dollars on porn rather than get it for free online, I don't know what to tell you.

Oh yes, it's the right-wing wanting to censor video-games. Yup, no left-wing progressives are on the censoring video game side at all. It's just those evil stuck-up conservatives.<_<

While I don't really care what the game is rated and don't really want an AO game because then retailers couldn't sell it, I agree with the point the OP makes that sex and the human body should not be considered "obscene" compared to gore spamming dismemberment.

QFT. It's not like there's this desperate need to see pixilated boobies, but a scene like that should absolutely not cause laughter. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's not what they should be going for there. They just looked silly.
Unfortunately, mods don't seem to solve the problem. I've only tried one, but it seemed to be the most popular, and it basically turned it into a porno shoot...that's definitely not what's needed there either.
I'd rather just have classy. They don't have to show so much as a nipple, and it could still be good. But this dry humping thing is ridiculous (ME2 has the same problem...an otherwise really moving scene between Shep and Jack makes you go "WTF?" when they start going at it fully clothed). If it's ratings they're worried about, don't show the full frontal shot then cover it up with crappy-looking underwear. Opt for a different camera angle instead.

How about this:

The original version has a Mature Rating. While also there is a version that is AO, but only Adults can buy it. See, options are good. Public audiences can get the M rating, while a select few, if older than 18+ are allowed an AO rating version of the game. Bioware, you still get money!

I've no problem with sex in game, but honestly, if it's to have such ridiculous scenes as DAO, let's just keep the teen rating and go for the "fade out" method. It'll be win-win.

If they want to include explicit sex scenes, go for it, but then at least make them watchables and not facepalm material.

Which Spartacus are we talking about here?

The Starz originals show on cable.  It starts off kinda bad, but the story and writing get MUCH better 4 episodes in.

It's a "poor man's" HBO ROme.  Or a "rich man's Xena" depending on how you look at it.

I hated the first episode, but enjoyed the show in the end.  The gore is still way over the top, actually reminds me of DAO gore

There is nothing "porn" about bewbs.  The most respected works of art throughout history were of the female form.   Hating bewbs is a radical religious thing introduced in the past few hundred years.

Spartactus is awesome. Definitely the rich man's Xena! I mean, the show even /includes/ a rich man who literally has Xena. :D

Rome was awesome too, of course, but for different reasons.

No matter how people try, the responses for these will be following:

1. ''You wan't porn? google it''

2. ''These game aren't for sexual pleasure, google it''

or the old ''cool guy'' favorite''

3. ''Lol lol get a life wololoo''

I don't agree with the things listed above, I don't mind nudity in games, as long as it is tasteful and serves a purpose and isn't there just to sell me something. I don't think it will change, I think there was BioWare response to thread like this somewhere. Which was along the lines of option nr. 2 I could remember wrong.

this is an oxymoron, how else do you have fun with playing then, do you enjoy clicking the mouse?

Exactly. ME1 still gets kudos from me for doing this as well as any I have seen in a game.

I see no need for devs to shy away from mature content. Tell it like it is, Bioware. Prudes be damned.

Its funny that people getting killed, heads decapitated, blood and gore in movies/games is ok, but once we get a female breast on the screen, its 18+. :>

Just my thoughts, is it as if its a greater sin to be naked or have sex than to massmurder people.

A breast on its own can still be PG13 (Titanic is a famous example off the top of my head).  Brutal violence will generally get an R rating.

Listen haters; I play BioWare RPGs for one reason and one reason only, and that is the love interests. Aerie. Tali. Leliana. Silk Fox. These women mean more to me than any real woman ever has, I care for them, protect them and yes, I love them. Bioware romances are more than just game features; they form links between my soul and the soul of a girl I adore beyond the boundaries of mere digital fiction.

When Tali showed me her true face and allowed me into her sanitised sanctum, I cried with joy. When Leliana sang I sang with her, and when Aerie had my child I felt so proud.

Yes BioWare. Make an adult version. Allow our relationships between our digital lovers to be explored fully.

Please. I need this.

An AO rating would be suicide for video game sales, and I dunno if releasing it with two separate ratings would be a good idea either. It's true that there is a double standard between games and movies in terms of what's allowed, at least, under the US rating systems. While rated M games and rated R movies are both for people 17+, the M rating does not explicitly allow nudity.

I think it would be better to rectify this double standard than to go with the system and make your game an unsellable AO game.

This is why I envy japanese culture, its not tainted by western "culture" too much yet and you can actually have decent adult games there.
