Really, nudity is over rated. I mean sure it's nice to look at but it's nothing new. I'd prefer just a good game with a good storyline. Yes I'd like to see love scenes similar to ME1's but beyond that there really isn't any reason for full frontal nudity or anything of the like. Just my opinion.

No, I don't think sex and pornography are the same thing, that's a stupid assertion. But yeah, an explicit representation of sex, be it on TV, film, or a computer game is pornographic, and yes, covering the nipples makes a difference to that. You may be arguing that societies idea of censorship is wrong but that's a different discussion to the one in this thread.

It's not an assertion, it's a question. I never make assertions! I'm asking those questions because people are asking for non-silly sex scenes and you're reacting as though they want porn. Hence my confusion about why the two things are being conflated.

Anyway, a visual representation of sex with nipples not showing is still a visual representation of sex. I absolutely do NOT want a pornographic scene...there are mods for that if people want them. I feel like it cheapens the characters and their stories. Instead of being about the importance of the act, it's about what position they use or what kinds of fetishes they have. Stuff that is clearly for titillation and not about storytelling. But a sex scene being included does not necessarily mean it falls into that same category...it can (obviously) be a major event in the lives of the two characters, or maybe it means almost nothing, which in itself is an insight into the characters.

And you're right, the scenes they have are crude, awkward things that would be pornographic if not for comical censoring. But where you think they should solve that by getting the ****** out, I think they should solve it by just fading to black. No one plays these games for titillation, and the sex scenes are irrelevant to the story of the romance which should be the focus of the damn thing.

I think they should solve it by making the scenes classy and artfully done (like they successfully did in ME1). If they can't do that, then yeah, I'd rather they just fade to black too.

But I definitely disagree that they are irrelevant to the story. They don't need to be drawn out or overly detailed, but they also don't need to be hidden as though it's something innately shameful. Obviously people's tastes will differ, but not all sex scenes are inherently pornographic.

Just how pornography can destroy someone life.Because they can't make the difference anymore between porn and reality . They jack off to porn and real life sexuality bore them.

So teach them about protection and how to respect themselves so they don't grow up to be a **** (hmm, censored...a "very promiscuous person"). Teach them how to be able to HANDLE nudity instead of freaking out about it. Like you said, it will be a part of their lives, so why hide it and try to pretend it doesn't exist so they are totally unfamiliar with it when the time comes? I'm not saying sit down and watch porn with them, but don't teach them that all nudity is evil either.

If they're one pixilated video game sex scene away from turning into some depraved sex fiend, then you're doing it wrong.

Snotty? No, but I don't understand why people keep taking arguments people are making and taking them to extremes and then arguing against those. I'm pretty sure not a single person has said they want a "porn and cussing game" (except maybe the OP). In fact several of us have specifically said we DON'T want it pornographic. The problem is that they use camera angles that would have showed everything if not for the hilariously stupid underwear, when instead they could have just chosen a different camera angle and spared us the sight of Morrigan's granny bra.

What several of us have said (or implied) is that it would be nice not to be treated like a child. Not everyone is afraid of nudity or will be scarred for life if they see a nipple.

It's like this: there are sex scenes with some extremely clumsily-added and illogical censorship. Some of us are like, "hey come on, don't do that." That doesn't mean "OMG SHOW US BOOBIES NOW," it means "figure out a way to avoid the ESRB ****s without making your scenes laughably bad."
