So.. have they forgotten Jade Empire? Probably the most underappreciated Bioware game ever

For good reason. It wasn't bad, but it was no KOTOR or Mass Effect. If they had to drop one property to continue the ones they have now, I would have also chosen to oust Jade Empire.

They are definitely going for the "best visuals" title. Look at the level of detail in the character models!

I'm sorry if there is any style they should keep in the game it is Spirit thief with out that style I would have never beat it on insane. It took 6 hours, but I beat it. Absorbing ever last bit of chi from my enemies and switching to Thousand Cuts. No one was my equal. Nor my friend!

@OP; Jade Empire hasn't been forgotten, I suspect, but I would suspect BioWare have done it and washed their hands of it. I can't see them making a second one.

This is why we make banners and support groups. The game has a group already. Just the owners been off for a long time I think. I'm just glad its open for anyone to join. I don't believe that for a second. Until they make a public announcement on TV on CNN. Then I will believe it.

And one last thing. I know I wasn't talking to the OP. I was talking to the moderators and wondering if they are going to transfer it. This would be you Mr. Woo and Ms. Seagloom.

JE2 probably won't happen. Ray and Greg worked on JE1 and are SR. VPs at EA so they probably won't ever be game designing again. Casey Hudson might pick it up after ME or James Ohlen might pick it up after SWTOR, but both are unlikely outcomes. I would like to see Fernando Melo, Christina Norman and Drew Karpyshyn work on JE2.

I may be on my own for this, but I'd rather Drew stick with the Star Wars.

That said, I would kill... hear me, KILL... for a proper Jade Empire game. Doubt it'll happen, however.

I mean it wouldn't be coffee they would be drinking it would be mountian dew mix with redbull and double fudge brownies and pizza everyday. This would definitely do the trick.

And that's part of why I think it'd be cool for a revisit.  The first game was, IMO, a flawed but a lot of fun (I replayed it more than I have many other games).  Loved the story, loved the setting, thought the combat system a bit wonky.

It has a solid setting foundation which I think can be built upon though.
