I really, really want a HD sequel to JE. Jade Empire eats dragon age for breakfast as a franchise, and in the gameplay department.

Jade Empire truly needs a sequel.

I agree. I have had enough of Star Wars and was never a fan of prequels.

I would have dropped Star Wars and kept Jade Empire going. Won't happen. Star Wars is too famous and thus a prized flagship line.

I downloaded Jade Empire from the Xbox Live classic's a week ago and I finished the game 2 days ago, all I can say that it was great.

The story could've had some more work. But the gameplay was enjoyable, I only used a couple of fighting styles but i'm going to start a second playthrough soon so I can use them there.

But yeah a sequel would be very very welcome, or even a spiritual succesor I don't care I want my martial arts epic.

lol, so true!
there's little (if anything) in DA that I haven't seen done better in Witcher or Oblivion. DA fans must be oblivious to those titles :D

Sorry to speak to you, but no we are not. We have played them, but Oblivion has never really seemed worth beating. I just can't stand the idea of ending the game. I've had it for over 4 years and still haven't beaten it. I've created numerous characters and have played probably over 1000 hours but for some reason. I just can't beat it. Mostly because of the crappy story. Eck! I haven't played the witcher and I've heard its good. I just not interested in it. All though I've heard its very good.

I agree with the rest of the statement that Jade Empire does beat DA for breakfest. The graphics to this day are still gorgious. The sound is still breathe taking and the story is still rock the caze ba!Eingefügtes Bild

I would kill for an HD version of it. I mean they the original artist is working on DA2. Maybe they will recruit him for a JE sequel?

hmmm... it's funny you admit not to have played the main game I was reffering to after you just said DA fans weren't oblivious about those titles :))

Oblivion has several serious issues: combat mechanics are abysmal; too many skills and birthsigns are useless; use-to-improve-your-skills system is good in principle, in practice it leads to your character hopping around the city like a rabbit on stims.

Bioware should get Jackie Chan on the team as an advisor and make JE2.

The poor guy is getting too old to be breaking stuff doing his own stunts, and all of his american movies are crap anyway. It's time he moved on into the gaming industry.

Oh and seeing as Drunken Master 2 is the best martial arts movie ever... More of that fighting style please :)

I agree, I would love to see a drunk fighting style. I would have also prefer to see more animal styles sense in most games the fighting styles are each unique. This coming from someone who learned wushu. Eingefügtes Bild

What I would really like to see is very very very bad voice acting. Just to give that old kungfu movie feel.

Bioware could save tons of money on voice actors and trying to lipsync the npcs.

Actually it wasn't the voice acting which was bad it was the moving of the mouths. All bioware would have to do is fix the animation so it looks like they are actually speaking a foregin language.
IF you want an old kung fu voicing with a good fight scene here you go. heheEingefügtes Bild

Jade Empire was an awesome game. I would definately buy a sequel. I've been a big fan of Bioware games since Baldur's Gate 1. I've only just recently got around to Jade Empire (Special Edition) , but I loved it.

No offence intended, but this is one of the worst ideas I've heard.
This IP is not about mocking mediocre Hong Kong & Hollywood productions, it is about depicting 'what ancient China would be like if all the myths and legends were true'.

To me the voice acting was one of the highlights of the game, whether you're talking about Master Li, Sagacious Zu or Black Whirlwind (I'm talking about the English version, of course).

I am re-posting a comment I posted on the other "Jade Empire" thread:

I wholeheartedly endorse and give my FULL support for a Sequel to Jade Empire. I speak about Jade Empire in almost all of my posts, and I thank Bioware wholeheartedly for creating this gem of a game.

It is a shame that I subscribe to this thread and I have not posted until now. "Shame that," Sky would say! In Jade Empire Bioware embraces and celebrates women. The game has heart and the martial aspect of the game is truly, truly impressive. This game is #1 on all the Bioware games I owned (I do have them all).

We do not only love jade Empire, but it is a favorite of the "Developers" as well to include the doctors, too. I do dearly hope that Bioware would consider the idea of producing a sequel to this beloved game. Yes, Microsoft commissioned Jade Empire, but with today's graphics and the fact that EA acquired Bioware, it should be more likely than not to entertain the idea of a sequel.

I received regular updates whenever someone posts a comment. I will continue to visit this thread and give this "desire for a sequel" my full support.
