So, Hawke escapes from Lothering before the blight tears it a new one right? Could he be a character we had an interaction with in our time there as the warden? Like, say, the child whos mother was killed?
I have a thought...

It crossed my mind as well and it is a possibility.
I mean Hawke looks 30-40 in the concept art, and the child is like 10 years old.
But it could also be the beard makes Hawke look older then he is i mean he was a penniles refugee for some time who fled from the Blight, so he didn't have a lot of time to shave.
The kid and the chantersboard in Lothering never gave a last name so there is a small chance.

Remember that Hawke can be either male or female.

The main character can be female though.

don't think it could have been a direct interaction, but we may saw our warden.

I knew there was some reason to my desire to personally kill every living creature in Lothering.

Yes I was wondering this myself and I completely forgot about the boy, it could be possible but I was under the impression he was a lone survivor? If he is then I would assume he would have been an adult as the child diddnt seem all that bright or capable and for him to survive he would have to have gone with a guardian of some sort.
I think the most likely explanation is the most obvious one and that Hawke was just one of the guys we diddnt see on our way through Lothering.

Hawke can be male or female so I'm guessing if their is any mention of our warden it would just be hawke having seen our warden or them not saving lothering.

Yes, please don't forget Lady Hawke! Heh. I know male is canon but come on, don't shut us out like that! I've been seeing this hypothesis in every thread, and while it's interesting, it's far more likely that the two never crossed paths in Lothering. For one thing, Hawke will be fully customizable. What if you decide to make him or her very dark skinned, or very blond? Neither would match the look of the child. That theory could only work if Hawke was male and uncustomizable.
