 So it seems that DA 2 will be set in the free marches.

What I want to know is what do you all think about this i know a lot wanted DA 2 to be set in Orlais.

So what do you all think?

Honestly, while I would have loved to see Orlais, this is fine by me. I would have been a bit disappointed if it centered on Ferelden, since I wanted to see a new part of the world. The Free Marches are only separated by a sea, so they could be close enough to create ties, but they are different, and also they are less isolated than Ferelden, so we might see not just a new area, but some influences from other places as well.



I want to see what sort of cultural and architectural styles they will use to depict the Marches. IIRC, Ferelden was inspired by Anglo-Saxon England, and was meant to be somewhat rough compared to much of Thedas due to its frontier character. I will be curious to see what the new areas look like, by comparison.

Anyways. Isn't Orlais located north of Ferelden?

No problem

Orlais is West of Ferelden.

And Kirkwall, the only named location we have, is in the Free Marches.

I'm glad it's not in Orlais. I like some of the characters from there, but I wouldn't like the entire game to be french people.

I don't expect much, I have just been reading about the other blight's on DA wike and it seems that the free marches took a beating in the 2ND, 3RD, and 4TH blight's.
