[The Erinyes]

The Dead Trenches won't pop up on my underground map after I defeat the spider queen and find Branka's book. I didn't have the dwarf with me the first time, so I went back and got him, still nothing. I reloaded and took him with me for the entire deep road arch - from first time zoning into the deep roads for the first time - and redid the ENTIRE sector and the quest still won't advance. I'm done everything else in the game. The dwarves are the last treaty I need.

Please tell me I 'm missing something stupidly easy and my whole game isn't completely screwed?

The journal says go to the trenches via the crossroads. I've tried exciting from every zone line and nothing happens. I don't get the next map icon for travel.

I had Shale with me because I read that his backstory happens in the deep roads - if that has anything to do with it. My other party members were the dwarf and Wynne. I choice Harrow-whatever's side.

Please help.

To add: the quest DOES advance in my journal, but nothing happens when I zone out from the crossroads on the east side,

Did you leave the area immediate to the spider's nest through a small wedge in between some rocks?

I couldn't advance either because I didn't see the passage, go back to where you found the journal and look around on your map.

That worked. Thanks for the help. They really should change the journal entry so it doesn't tell you to go through the crossroads...

You're telling me. I went all the way back to the beginning because of the Dead Roads because I thought one of the tunnels lead out LOL!

Also make SURE you have explored ALLLLLLLL the tunnels in each Xroad/Thaig most people don't and think they are bugged

Thank you JigPig! I ran around for over an hour trying to figure out how to get there from Caridin's Cross. Sigh. I didn't spot that tiny passage where I found the journal.
