I've had weird stuff with non-Valve games on Steam too so I get hesitant (weird copy protection and sometimes the patches are released later)

I live pretty far up North also but I still ordered a CE box version from the EA main site.Eshaye wrote...
Digital version both for the perks and because I live in the north which means I can only get copies from Wal-Mart which may or may not have it on time and when they do it might get sold out fast, or get it from the computer shop which over prices everything....
So if I can do steam or D2D I do it.

Especially if I was going CE. Sure, I'd rather have Warden's Keep too, but it's only $7. The cloth map and tin case are collector's items. You won't be buying those for $7. I prefer an actual collector's item when ordering a CE. I know it's called deluxe instead of collector's, but you get the point.

They must have been sold out when I ordered mine...imported_beer wrote...
I am going for the Bioware SUPER FORUMITE Collector's LIMITED edition. It comes with a Biowarian of your choice who will counsel, advise and guide you until you finish the game.
I would have picked David Gaider. Mostly so I could hear more about the romances and so I could pester him to write a few extra tidbits for me. Well, it'd end up as more than a few and he'd likely climb out a window and flee back to canada after a few days, but it's a nice dream.

I will be a very sad person when the retail boxes cease to exist.

yea they tend to get farther and farther from the good old days of the classic ginormous boxes. You know the one where they actually took the time to design nice things on the box and put cool stuff inside it.LordGarm wrote...

I will never forget the instricate three-cornered boxes Bungie used for their Marathon games. Mostly because they don't fit in any of my bookcases without being bent all to hell.

So yeah. Plus, I enjoy having the actual product in my hands. Something is definitely more satisfying about that.
