Make them interesting by giving them a unique look or unique effects rather than just making them good statistically. For example, the Battledress that you get for playing Leliana's Song is aweosme statistically but it's generic looking in game. I'd rather have a more balance item with it's own unique visual look.

Because it is just so much better and balanced to get your gear through regular playing than have it handed to you in exchange of real-life money, and then wondering why every single item you find in the game is complete crap.

1. Pre-Order bonuses only cost "real life money" if you decide to go and buy the codes._Loc_N_lol_ wrote...

2. Pre-Order bonuses are rarely game breaking. The ME2 pre-order armors are rather inferior to the N7 armor and its variants, as an example.

Or at least have an option to buy ALL content. It's not quite acceptable when you have to pre-order game from 6 retailers just to get full content AND this content actually breaks game's balance.ThomasAndrew wrote...
I'm sure every single person buying the game would not want silly preorder bonuses and have all the content when you purchase the game.

Let me get this straight. You want pre-order content as long as you can have it without fulfilling the requirements to have access to said content, and its ability to potentially ruin the game balance is fine if it's a DLC release? And not to mention that use and/or installation of the above content is completely optional!Lord Gremlin wrote...

No, you got it wrong. I don't want to have any pre-order items. And I don't want them to exist. There is nothing optional - you either have 100% content or not.OnlyShallow89 wrote...

And where's the fun in that? Retailers set up pre-order bonus deals in order to secure pre-orders, they don't do it to aggravate Pokémon-esque collectors.Lord Gremlin wrote...

Just because you don't want them to exist, it doesn't mean they'll suddenly go poof. If I'm paying full price for a game, it's often nice to have a little extra to show for it.

Well it would be nice if all retailers had the exact same pre-order bonus. The fact that they're all different is the problem.
