What are people here hoping for with the so-called dynamic combat mechanics Bioware are going to create for DA2? I know a lot of people are screaming about it, but for those who aren't currently, running around screaming, what are you hoping for?

Hopefully battles just flow a bit better. I paused fairly frequently so that I could set up a battle the way I wanted. It would be nice if I could do this easier on the fly. But I do hope they keep the pausing option as well.

I, too, am curious as to what this means. I hope they don't remove the tactics system, I loved that. To be honest, I was a big fan of the combat in DAO so I'm not sure how they would improve it (though there's always room for improvement, of course).

More options, choices in battles that matter more, and can affect the wider storyline. Generally speaking, improvements to the current system that improve it and contribute to the game as a whole.

Not sure but people are way too negative they are not looking at the positive.Miguelitoson wrote...

A guy in the Gamer Informer thread posted some spoilers from the magazine. Says some stuff about the combat system.

I wouldn't mind them adding a bit of KOTOR in, when I played that, whenever two characters were fighting with blades/lightsabers, it sometimes felt like they were actually fighting rather that randomly swing their sword about randomly like who it seemed in DAO, I'd like them to actually make it actually feel and look like a battle where each move would have a specific attack for the bigger enemies.
Basically, if they made fights seem more like battles, I'd be happy.
