I hate people who don't use grammar and correct/good spelling. It seems lazy or stupid on their part. Especially when they can't spell "does" correctly. But sometimes they're from a different country so these mistakes are acceptable at times.

Don't forget that for many of us English isn't the 1st language..

Hehe.

In future, it may not be possible to avoid games that are multi-platform. It's the only way the really big companies can make the most profit.

Frustrated ... have not been able to play for more than 30 min at a time since 1.03 was released. No mention of fixing all the lag and slowdown issues in the game. I am not going to bother spending money on dlc and expansions on a game which is unplayable.

Also frustrated with the whole dual development for consoles. Consoles suck.

Note to self ... avoid games which are subject to console/sony/microsoft limitations in future.

How dare a company try to maximize it's investment!

A console is a computer with a joypad...PC snobs need to get over themselves.

Why can't you guys fix the Alistair King glitch? This is not an isolated glitch, and it ALWAYS happens. Whether you Marry Anora or not, the ONLY way for Alistair not to become king and/or deal with this glitch (and for all the dialog to not freak out after Landsmeet) is to make Alistair King or have him run away and/or die. If you choose Anora to lead, then the game fights over Alistair or Anora being king/queen and the dialog is all sorts of messed up.

How is this not a known issue? Have none of the 360 quality testers gone that route of making Anora queen? :[

THIS THIS THIS! PLEASE FIX THIS!It happens on all versions of the game I believe.

Who are you the post police ? spottyblanket was polite if there willing to waist there time posting let em post . Geezs I am so tiered of hearing how people wine when some one posts what already posted or said. The fact is the post hurt no one and spottyblanket anyone else wants to waist time typing a polite post let em.
Victor post dose answer the question granted. But this patch has gotten on every ones Last Nerve and after all this time is it a wonder that some do not bother to check page 1 of of three threads back then thread 2 then page 1 of thread 3? To discover it on thread 3 or it it 4 as the first post.

What I am trying to say is people chill out. There is no reason to get antsy with each other.
Let not start flaming over stupid None patch crap like Forum Protocol.
We are friends here and Gamers all so chill guys.

The forum Is Indeed Getting Antsy. If not damd right rude as a whole.

Forum Protocol exists to keep heads cool and polite and if the letter of the law is kept at the expense of the spirit of the law then it's pointless.

So every one please lets dial it back a bit.

As the thread a bit to important to degenerate into a Flame war.

You know that antsy is a synonym for expectant, right?  Ansty being basically a short way of writing anticipatory.  You use the word like it means irritated or angry.  Just sayin'.

Angsty? Doubt that's really a word (angst-ridden), but I do like it.

I understand that consoles now are patched, etc., but really there shouldn't be a need.   This all started because of computer gaming.  Internet shouldn't be needed with a console, playing a single player game- period.  Of course this is widely accepted, but what if you lived somewhere remote, and only had dial-up (or no) intenet access.  Patches would take forever to download.  Games should be finished products when you buy them.  However, Microsoft has us all conditioned to buy items that are initially broken.  Can you imagine buying a refrigerator and then waiting for a patch to come out to allow it to keep your food cold?  It's all ridiculous.

By chance, you don't have to resolve quest and interract with a GUI to use your refrigerator.

Can you imagine that you need to defeat a boss each month to allow your refrigerator to keep your food cold ?

Antsy may just mean expectant, as Lvtdude says, but it does carry connotations of "nervous" and "jittery" along with that "expectation".

*edit*
As that link to the definition that I just clicked on (above) confirms.

Umm, I have to work for a boss so I can pay the bills to run my refrigerator to keep my food cold.  Does that count?  :P

It's been 5 months ago that this game was released. 5 months for a patch to fix a broken, incomplete game. I know consumer entitlement can be incredibly grating, but sometimes the consumer is justifiably annoyed.

all of what i posted about Qwinn's pack ia bout scripts that have gone awry in the game. If a bunch of helpful people are able to dig this up and fix it then th real guys should have no problem fixing this.

I would not even bother at this point of bothering to wait for BIOware to fix these up. but now it may create conflicts with the upcoming patch so an official fix would be best. But i would hate to see BIO rely on people to fix their mistakes.

I'm a big fan of Qwinn's fixpatch and I believe the Bioware programmers are well-aware of his fixes.  However, they are not allowed to include everything they'd like to because all code fixes have to go through Microsoft/Sony QA to be included on the consoles.  So, even though a bug can be fixed for PC's, it may be rejected from the official patch if it does not pass Microsoft/Sony QA.  In other words, if there is a possible code fix that would work on PC's but does not work on the consoles, it will likely be rejected from the official patch release.  None of the Bioware developers will confirm or deny this because they are bound by a "gag" clause in their contract with the big companies.  After all, they don't want it to be known that the console versions of DA are nerfed!!  Image IPB

No one is suggesting that Qwinn's work should just be thrown into the patch without testing it. He's done good work to fix up the game, but.releasing without ample testing is what caused all the grief last time.

it wouldnt surprise me if all this was EA's fault i havent found 1 of their games thats doent need a patch within a week of them releasing a game, their game testers must be a total waste of time and money.

cant they realise that their consumers want quality not quantity, take your time with the game to make sure it runs well stop rushing to beat the other guy, gamers buy games cause they want to play them not because they are out 1st. look at Valve with the Half Life series they take about 6 years between each 1 and their games are still playable without a patch.

gamers will wait years for a game, but will only wait so long for a patch to make a game playable.

i love this DA series from BioWare its a shame that EA is involved

Antsy means both expectant, and nervous (as people have pointed out above), but neither really fits the bill in this case. Probably what was meant was "agitated".

Oh so sweet, I really hope that they have fixed the stability of the game. I really miss playing DA but when you play it in its current state it just make me really angry specially with the constant crashes and the massive slowdown at the end of the original game.

I think it's geting closer to nine months for origins, maybe five for the expansion, but yeah, either way the upset people are justifiably annoyed. Let's hope that the patches keep coming after this one because there are still bugs not addressed with this patch, I just worry that everything is going into ME3/DA2 and this game will basicly be swept under the rug, except for dlc of course. Only by strictest definition.  In practical terms, it's more of an electronic multi-media and gaming device.  For me, when it comes with a keyboard and other I/O devices that are widely and effectively supported, then it is a "computer".

Does that make it any less worthy or important?  No.  Look at how big the industry is for consoles!  I believe in "democratic consumerism".  Lots of people buy them, so hooray for them.  However, to bring this back more on topic.... if the PC side of the patch happens to be ready and "certified" first, then PC users generally think it should be released.  I have little doubt that console gamers would think the same.  I have had consoles as well as a PC, so I know I would too.

Either way there is no point in delaying the PC patch unti the patch has gone through MS and Sony, its just retarded. That has nothing to do with being a pc snob at least. Limiting the patch for PC due to patch limits on consoles is also silly.

I'm glad to see a lot of issues fixed but:

"Entering the Silverite Mine early may result in loss of some inventory as well as broken plot flags due to prior quests not being completed properly. Normally, the door will unlock after fully resolving the encounter with Velanna and the player should not attempt to enter the Silverite Mine before then."

I can't help but feel sorry for the rogue players who have not been following all these updates or even have an account on this site. Are you going to be trying to communicate this tho those who are not members of the site or is this going to be a word-of-mouth thing?

Totally agree. I`m PC gamer and waiting that patch.
And only one thing why I didn`t insist on patch now, may be they(MS, Sony) find some bugs thru cert.
But if they didn`t testing the patch and it`s only some bureaucratic move, so this is suxx.
