I don't think that is a bug. It makes sense, that after you finish the one real duty the Seneschal assigned you, along with you thwarting the Mother in the Blackmarsh she will attack. The Joining would take too long, and isn't necessary to combat the mother. Just throwing that out there, I'd suggest since the Baroness is kind of tough to kill at low levels (as is the Queen of the Blackmarsh) you should just hold off from going there until after everything else is done.Pentier wrote...
What about the bug forcing you to start the Siege of Amaranthine without being able to make your final party member a Gray Warden? (if Velanna or Sigrun). Is this one of the various companion bugs fixed above or has it not been fixed. If not I'd like to know so that I can make sure to do them in the right order, so i can avoid the bug.

Dude it isn't a big deal, just hold off on importing your character, or just don't play as a human right now. I'm not importing my character until they fix it, or until they announce whether or not they will.Nobody Important wrote...
No sentinel armor fix? Ok I am done with Bioware. Just close my account I won't ever purchase another Bioware product again.
Just chill out. If it will be fixed at all, it will be fixed soon

Honestly, you're kidding, right? You've got to be. Nobody could be this callow. Quitting a game and requesting account closure over a piece of armour that they haven't announced as fixed is just moronic. I repeat: haven't announced. As I see it, BioWare is fixing the gamebreaking bugs as best they can first, and aesthetics second, as it should be.
As someome who actually has experience at coding, I can tell you that maintaining the game's functionality is far more important than how it looks. Deal with it and continue to enjoy the game.
If you're this upset over something as trivial as a piece of fictional armour, how will you cope when real life deals you a crappy hand? That would be interesting to see, as you can't just request that your life be closed.
Next time try complaining about something that matters exponentially more than this.
Now that I'm done ranting, I want to thank BioWare for their continued support for the game and Victor for keeping us updated on new developments. ^^v
Basically all I really want to see is the Ancient Elven Boots show up where they're supposed to.
I realise that this next one may be fixed, but... The Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. (below)

Well you can request your life to be closed, but life isn't an escape from the real world...Squeelookle wrote...

Or.... (just had this incredible thought) has access to the super-secret, alpha-version of 1.04, and finds the boots where they belong, along with all the other game-play fixes that we've been noticing and asking for BioWare to address!
... I wish!

(NOTE While the Sentinel armor for the XBox and PS3 is specifically called out as being "unfixable, only the Blackblade set falls under "all platforms".)
(Awakening) Armor sets: Sentinel Armor & Vigilance Sword (Xbox 360 and PS3), Blackblade Armor (All platforms)
Unfortunately, we are unable to fix the issues concerning these armor sets and the Vigilance Sword. Due to various limitations surrounding what we can and cannot patch concerning DLC content, very strict limits in the size of console title updates, and the state of some of the assets we attempted to implement, we regret to inform you that these items will not be fixed at this time.
There is a workaround for the appearance of the Sentinel Armor and the Vigilance Sword on consoles, and that is to not have the Soldier’s Peak/Grey Warden Base DLC installed. We realize this is not by any means an ideal solution, but regrettably we will be unable to fix this properly and for that we apologize.

For those of you keeping count, if this proves to be the case, (no fix for Sentinel/Vigilance/Blackblade on the PC) this would mark the second publically acknowledged example of the PC version not getting some love because of limitations of the other platforms. (This first being that the patch isn't out for us yet!)Zy-El wrote...
With respect to the Sentinel Armor/Vigilance Sword/Blackblade Armour fixes, it sounds like this is a limitation caused by the console versions of the game. In other words, if we can't fix it for all platforms, we won't fix it at all. PC users screwed again! Well, at least, we have mods that do fix these problems - thank you Qwinn!!

You mean because of the size limit for patches on consoles? Yeah it sucks, 4mb or something ridiculous, it's an old and outdated limitation, since you can use a flash drive on the off chance you don't own a HD for your xbox. If they really wanted to fix it they could release a larger patch as dlc (free of course) to get around the size limitations of an update. Never gonna happen, but just saying they could if they wanted to.

Therefore cast ye not the first stone lest your own imperfections be judged. All I'm saying is be patient and let the coding team at bioware do their jobs and I guarantee that even if it takes years Bioware will have fixed every game breaking bug and 99.9% of minor ones.
So sayeth the wise Alundo

If you look over the list of fixes in patch 1.04, they've only addressed the bugs that can be fixed in Origins and Awakening, not the DLC. They've fixed Awakening to recognize items created by DLC but they have not altered code in any of the DLC themselves. This is part in parcel with why they cannot correct some of the major bugs still in the game.
I'm sure it's something to do with console limitations figuring into this. DLC are treated as separate products and for whatever reason, Bioware is being limited in this patch to addressing only what they can in Origins and Awakening.

I am getting fed up with the bull of not getting fixed for this and that reason. I paid for the game and i should have proper customer service across the line. Just because Donald Trump walks in the store that i am at doesnt mean that he should gte all the attention and service.
Why should i pay for console limitations? it reads stupid. Whatever clause or contract or obligations that the console impose on pc gamers and vice versa.
Patches should be made for each specific platforms and one another should not be penalized.
all that crap about limitations is getting beyong stupid...
