It was previously reported that "Daggers will now properly assign the dexterity-based damage bonus"

It is. I re-edired many of the items on the list, and that one inadvertantly dropped off. But I put it back in. Thanks for noticing!

If not I'd like to know so that I can make sure to do them in the right order, so i can avoid the bug.

Do Blackmarsh last, as the companion you can recruit there is already a Grey Warden and does not need to go through the joining.

If it has passed EA's cert can PC get if first?

Can't have that- console people will get upset....:pinched:

I play on a console and honestly I could care less if it's released to pc players first, if it's ready why not? As far as I'm concerned the game itself should've been released seperately for different platforms. The only thing I care about is seeing equal support across all platforms, if one gets something a week or two earlier it really isn't a big deal as long as it's released to all platforms in a decent timeframe.

Exactly how I feel. Release away!

*scrubbed*

I wonder if any of the code will have lines that "inadvertantly drop off".....

Im glad to see this patch but I just finished a 7th playthrough of DAO and I cant see myself going at it again anytime soon. Shame that the game is fixed only after such a long time. I reckon many people will have moved onto new games by now also. Still its good to see BW are fixing it for those who are still playing.

Because of the script bugs I dreaded to run into, I stopped my playthrough as soon as the 1.03 / Awakening bugs came to light. That's been about 3 months now. Still on my first playthrough, and I plan to do 2 more for other Origins. Being a slow player, I suspect not being done at the moment DA-2 comes out :P

Does this fix include bows? Right now adding dex does nothing at all when it should be 50% of the modifier.

The combat lag problem it's more a problem from the Processors than the game self, i found that with the hard way (had to buy a new PC a month ago),or maybe a problem with the .Net Framework (and that is the reasom we must wait for the Microsoft certificate) , however i hope there will be a 1.05 before come out DA2

(Awakening) Armor sets: Sentinel Armor & Vigilance Sword (Xbox 360 and PS3), Blackblade Armor (All platforms)

Unfortunately, we are unable to fix the issues concerning these armor sets and the Vigilance Sword. Due to various limitations surrounding what we can and cannot patch concerning DLC content, very strict limits in the size of console title updates, and the state of some of the assets we attempted to implement, we regret to inform you that these items will not be fixed at this time.

There is a workaround for the appearance of the Sentinel Armor and the Vigilance Sword on consoles, and that is to not have the Soldier’s Peak/Grey Warden Base DLC installed. We realize this is not by any means an ideal solution, but regrettably we will be unable to fix this properly and for that we apologize.

Note concerning Silverite Mine, Arl of Denerim’s Estate, and Item issues: Please accept our apologies. While we wish we could have fixed these issues to the community’s satisfaction, we are unable to do so at this time. As indicated, we realize that none of these workarounds are ideal in any way but regrettably have no other course of action as we have very strict limitations with what we are able and not able to patch, on consoles especially. We have taken into account the root issues related to the implementation of these areas/pieces and will carry it forward in an effort to avoid things like this happening in the future.

Does that mean that in PS3, Blood Talents won't work anyway? Because deleting the Warden's Keep DLC means deleting those, doesn't it?

I suspect they're adding the talent scripts to the game via the patch, so that they won't have to update the DLC itself.

You can only acquire the armor and the helmet, no gloves or boots.  This leads me to a question I've always wondered.  Why is every set of armor found in pieces? You'd think that occasionally an entire set of armor would be found, or maybe everything but the boots, but it's a little silly that every set of 4 pieces is ALWAYS found in 4 places.

There's no mention (either way) of the malfunctioning "kill 100 darkspawn", "kill 500 darkspawn", and "kill 1000 darkspawn" achievements. Are those fixed or unfixed?

I, too, would like to know when an actual fix for this will be released.

I am actually fine with "deleting" the patch from the list or whatever it is I need to do if I get my dang visuals. You can't wear the armor in the expansion anyway, as you may know. But if the promised blood spells go away, then I might just get upset, start crying, and it'll turn into a horrible scene. Tried to sound as close to Alistair as possible on that one. You know, from after the Joining.

I'm a bit confused here. Some of the bugs, like the sentinel armor bug, was not fixed in this patch due to limitation of the patch? Like size or somewhat? If that's the case, why not just release it as an DLC, like other EA titles (Burnout Paradise). Also, it takes weeks in certification to MS and Sony? ... I did not know that, what a bummer. I was hoping for a release next week, but now we probably have to wait untl next month, or so it seems. Image IPB

Other than that, i am really glad that many of the major problems is getting fixed, and i really like the communication and honesty on this subject.

Sooo... I guess weekly update has ended now?  You have been great Victor, and cheers to the team who have been working on thisImage IPB

I too would like to know why, if the patch has passed EA certification, people who have the PC version need to wait on Sony and Microsoft to give the thumbs up for the console versions. I would think you would go ahead and release the patch if it is finished instead of sitting on it for a simultaneous release which never seems to happen anyways since the PS3 patch is always late.

It isn't.

I've got the most recent patch, and killed the 500th darkspawn today.  Still nothing.

Thank you for notification, though the patch did took long enough. Is the +x% healing received bug not getting fixed.

also, off topic: but is there a list of all the bugs somewhere on the forums?

Victor: I haven't seen any mention of the Find Vitals talent (or any mention of Awakening talents that might include this). Has this talent been fixed in 1.04 to have the proper effect?

Thanks for the update Victor and the interesting explanations of some bugs you won't "touch" and fix. I'm wondering though, why some modders can fix the vigilance sword (without messing with the warden's keep DLC items) and also fix the blackblade armor set quite easily. Still, there are more bugs which need attention. Fortunately, I have the PC version of the game because I have fixed these (and other) bugs with mods and the toolset and I feel lucky that I don't have any CtD / memory leak problems.

I'm a little bit worried though about Dragon Age 2. I hope that it's not going to be an Awakening deja vu - regarding the bugs - experience, judging the fact that it was announced too soon. Obviously, Awakening was a rushed and unpolished product which should be released some months later... Also it was a good example of how a product with amazing potential can be ruined by countless bugs. Maybe it's a good idea to not buy your games at its release dates and wait, let's say, a year to try and enjoy them at their fullest potential? I don't want to be negative but I've noticed that the only things which you release late are the patches of your games. Anyway, at least you gave us some info to not wait your patches for fixing your game.
