I would love to be able to use my dead warden save for DA2 so when we play as Hawke we don't have to worry about old companions or what our warden is doing.

Anyone like this?

I think this is something everyone wants, whether your Warden is dead or alive. Hopefully Bioware implements it.

But then we would have to have the Lazarus effect.

We don't know if any saves will be imported into DA2, but I'd say what we currently know leans more towards "no".

The DR ending does appear to have been canonized, so you can be sure to see Morrigan's child at some point in the series.

I don't think so. Your origins was your character this new games is sounding more like a ME experiences which I'm not all against. I just needed Bioware to confirm it fully.

Bioware always has some form of import.

No doubt you will import at least the result of DAO.

You are trying to bring a dead character back to life right?

If we can then it would be great as we can dismiss all the companions and start with a clean state with new companions.

No, i meant use my dead PC save (sacrifice ending with no Morrigan child) so when the part of the story in DA2 passes that timeline then there would be no more history for my old warden to disturb the game.

This game will most likely not be even in the same country, let alone follow the same faction as the Grey Wardens.

My dear composer, I am afraid the Dark Ritual and thus Morrigan's had indeed been canonized and will come to pass in either DA2 or DA3.

Dragon lady on the magazine's cover seems to suggest it will be in DA2 already.

I think the Warden is long gone, but the decisions he made will probably make a small cameo. Like maybe the guy goes to Bhelen or Harrowmont's succesor/themselves for troops--just as an example.

Try posting a link to where it says this.  I've seen you make this statement multiple times yet you have never posted any proof.  And I don't mean what you've perceived from info, I mean an actual statement by someone from Bioware.

But if that is the case it would render our imported saves as meaningless don't you think?

Can you post a link please?

Things that have potential effect in DA2 as a result of the Warden:

-Harrowmont/Bhelen obviously as you said

-If the Grey Warden sacrificed himself or not (no doubt that the Grey Wardens will get mentioned)

-If Morgan's child makes an appearance, the race can vary

Really other than those, the exploits of the Warden really don't change that much.  He saved the elves, dorfs and mage's circle.  That won't change at all.

Now that I think of it, you had more story line changes in Mass Effect then Dragon Age....
