I know its a stupid question and I know that you can't tell uss to much about the game right now but I have to know.
I really like the combat system i Dragon Age: Origins with the ability to switch characters and giving dem orders. Im always switching and having full control of the battlefield and all their action.

That the console will have a more action fast-pased combat system makes me worry that it will be all buttonpushing and that, like in Mass Effect, you only control the main characters and kan only give some orders to the other team members.

Kan someone please just tell me if I will get disapointed? I rather have a hint now then finding out later.

This is the only thing about this game that worry me. I would just like to be able to concentrate on looking forward to the game.
(Hopefully I will get a reply and it will be that I wont be disapointed.):P

The combat will be the same for PC. Im asking about the console version. XBox 360 and PS3.

Or have I missed something?

I hope they change a couple things.

Like make skills like alchemy have their own skill slots rather than consume one of the action buttons without requiring player based mods.

I am sure that is something that everyone can get behind.

I hope the combat system is more immersive. to where it actually FEELS like I'm doing something, other than just queuing attacks

More immersive for the player but have a deeper queue system for NPCs.

Like being able to set up a few attacks for your party so you don't have to cycle back to them after every attack.

It might not be.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter attempted to wrap a pc mentality around a console built game, it didn't mash up perfectly.

They did?  That should dispell any fears about this becoming a Mass Effect game.

Just a bunch of chicken littles claiming the sky is falling.

Bioware has never abandoned a system that works and what players like.

Can you elaborate more on that? I'm not really sure what you mean, something like choreographed combat or more visual spell effects on lower level abilities? (spells like Lightning Bolt, Stonefist, Winter's grasp)

Are you implying ANYONE liked the combat system?  That's a laugh.  If they're going to keep the same ****ty system, I'd like it to be somewhat balanced and meaningful rather than making it feel like I'm wasting my time if I roll as anything other than a dual-wielding warrior.

Well, someone is bitter about not being very good this game...

I love the combat system. It was one of the best aspects. And there are tons of people screaming for it to stay the same.

I can elaborate

he thought the dumbing down of the RPG elements in ME2 was perfectly acceptable for the faster more shiny twitch combat they brought in game!

Javier is exactly opposite of what RPG fans want

Always has been

I don't mind the combat system, I do hope they fix archery though. Not that it matters much now since they squished hopes on the game by limiting it to a single hooman Shepard clone.

Link. Last I checked they were ignoring all questions about combat.

Me, and tons of other people loved the combat system.

Also, if you feel that anything other than a dual wielding warrior is a waste, you were awful.

I agree. There are many who loved the combat system. And btw I think a dual-wielding warrior where on the weaker side when it came to defence. I have no problem playing as a Mage och Rouge.

Everyone loved the combat system... on the PC. You know, the PROPER version.

I loved the XBox 360 version of the combat system. Not saying that there can't be inprovments.

I would be really disapointed if the combat system would be compleatly changed.

Oooohh. I dare say you describe reflex-based combat. That would not go over well.

Yeah, combat was real simple in DAO when you consider that you're not actually executing the attacks, but rather queuing them up to occur.

PCers will get the same, which is fine, cause I actually liked that system. Its different than what you get from most games.

But I think on consoles its going to get faster and more responsive. I'd love to hear how they'll do that.

People need to stop thinking the PC version is the "proper" version, or the "real" version, or the "only" version worth getting.

Seriously. PC Elitism gets old.
