Seiken Densetsu is the Japanese name for the Mana series. 3 never made it over here, but it was fan translated ages ago. It's an excellent game.

I don't mind the name Hawke. I'll just name one of my character Shawdow Hawke in honor of Sun Wolf's band of mercenaries. Thue her name was actually Shawdow Hawk, but it will work.

It was another one of Square's renamings.

Seiken Densetsu (GB) was Final Fantasy Adventure in the US.
Seiken Densetsu 2 was brought over as Secret of Mana.
Therefore SD3 would have been SoM2.

You do realize that every character you create in DA:O already has a last name attached, and some of them (Human Noble, Dwarf Noble) are referred to by that name repeatedly, no matter how much or little you like it. It's not all that different. It's just something to call you instead of Warden, and honestly it may not even be Hawke by the time the game comes out.

Two things suck total big hairy balls about mass Effect

1. Regardless of what character you make, this is what is considerd Shepard



He's in the movies, he's in the gameplay video's shown, he's in the trailers, he's on the box. When you are attempting to role-play as a custom character, this is in the back of your mind.

2. Regardless of what you name your char, you will always be addressed as "Shepard" with the exact same vioce across all charecters.

Limited, anoying, not very immersing.

No one ever addressed my DA character by her first (or last) name, even though I put a lot of thought into it.
