BECAUSE I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THAT TOO.
WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MIKE HAWKE AND THE TAINT?
HOW DID MIKE HAWKE SURVIVE THE TAINT?
DID MIKE HAWKE EMERGE TAINTED FROM HIS TIME IN THE TAINT?
I HAVE MANY SIMILAR QUESTIONS TO ASK.

But if he does, he'll master it.

Mind you, Darkspawn blood also wasn't black like it was supposed to be so clearly Bioware really doesn't care about maintaining the rules of their fiction very much. What's the difference between drinking the Darkspawn blood and touching it exactly? Why does one result in essentially taint immunity (well they're not immune, they're still tainted... it just takes way longer for it to actually kill them) and the other in death. For that matter, how does Ruck survive in the Deep Road's while tainted, but your life is in immediate danger when tainted in the Dalish Elf origin because you've been tainted? (Duncan says that Tamlen is as good as dead because he's been tainted for 3 days without aid)

1. I think darkspawn blood is only poisionous if you actually ingest a good quanity of it. Little specs that don't even make it to the stomach are probably tolerable by most people.
2. From my understanding, it takes a person of considerable fortitude and spiritual strength to become resistant to the darkspawn taint, and remember, in the joining, wardens drink 1 drop of blood from an actual achdemon, so that may have something to do with them being 'immune' to the taint.
3. Ruck was losing his grip on reality but I believe that he was strong enough to actually survive and become a 'ghoul' like the corrupted bears and wolves you fight occasionally. Tamlen would have succumbed almost immediately without aid. And your dalish character would have ended up similar to ruck if you don't go through the joining.

My ultimate questions will Hawke be a warden or just a character like Lillana?
This is not about Wardens anymore. This is gooing to turn into something like Gothic (with companions I guess....)

The real questions is from the taint people become dark spawn I mean that is just obvious. The real questions i had is he going to be a grey warden. Its something which is turning my head. or not. Because if you ingest the taintit turns you into a ghoul and eventually kills you. They stated the taint is poisonious because it seeps into your skin.
Maybe part of the story will revolve around him going insane as the taint slowly saps his life.

1. There's a sergeant in Ostagar that explains so much as touching the blood can kill you.
2. How do they get the blood of an archdemon when they weren't even positive an archdemon was around? Perhaps there's some magical preparations to the Joining that is hinted at in Origins but not Awakening but I'm skeptical.
3. Perhaps, but that still begs the question of what is so different about the Joining and just being exposed to the blood at all?

That would go back to the quest in ostagar when you have to go recieve the treaties. They already had it from the previous archdemon the elven dude slayed,

1. As I remember, that sergeant states merely that the blood is poisonous and not to touch it, but I don't remember him saying that touching the blood will kill you. Maybe I just need to walk by a few more times.
2. The wardens take blood from a previous archdemon and use that preserved blood in the joining. (But if thats the case, then how did the first Grey Wardens come to be?)
3. This is my own theory, but Duncan says something about the circle mages 'preparing' so that alludes to a possible spell being cast on the blood...or something. Maybe it diludes the taint just enough to delay the effect it has on the body. It could also have something to do with the archdemon blood but it's never really explained so all we have are wild guesses and theories.
