We know the following thus far: Hawke is human only, can be male or female, and can be any of the three core classes. However, I would like to know whether or not we can alter the appearance of Hawke as a male/female human warrior/mage/rogue. Can we change things like hair, eyes, facial design, or whatnot?

My big worry is that we'll have to stick with a locked appearance on account of the game taking place over ten years. Obviously, Hawke will age and it might be that Hawke will show visible signs of aging as time passes. Would this strip us from further customization? Would such details be procedurally generated based? Would we be stuck with a few basic preset templates?

Or am I just worrying over nothing, an aging effect not existing at all?

There's probably a couple of hairstyles and beards to choose from, but I would expect something like Mass Effect where you have the stock Shepard that looks great and then the custom generator which is nowhere near as powerful.

The simple answer is that I don't know right now. I would be very surprised, however, if they didn't allow you to customize your appearance. I was wondering about the aging thing too; we'll have to wait and see what information is revealed.

They've already said he/she will have customizable appearance. Ten years is not really all that much time if Hawke starts out early 20s. A few lines around the eyes, but really, they can just shift the "skin complexion" slider from DA:O from 2-3-4 and cover ten years if someone goes from 25 to 35. It's not like you'll be aging 50 years.

It's good to clarify these things when I have a host of other questions posed as well.

I hope we can at least start out w/o facial hair--progress to mustache to beard lol. I want to look like Solid Snake with an awesome mustache>Duncan's beard.
