That part has only been "made clear" by the "they changed it now it sucks" crowd.

And by the whole "your stuck being a Mary Sue in Ferelden" thing. And you can't choose your race. And theres no Origin story, and theres no Grey Warden, and theres VO.

Whether it sucks or not its still nothing like the first one.

You're right it will be totally different, especially the combat system (already said it will be the same or very similar) and the talent trees/specializations (already said they will exist) and the lore of the game world (since we haven't yet been told we're phase shifting to another reality).  So...  Oops, I guess it will still be SOMETHING like the first one.

In regards to combat, you can say its similar to Baulders Gate/Neverwinter Nights as well. So the only things that are similar is the games lore and the talent trees.

The origins did change up the rest of the game a bit. I agree that it could have changed it up even more. In fact that was something I was hoping to see more of in DA2 (our race making even more of an impact in the way people responded to you), not have it taken out entirely.

I wanted to see Origins played out the way they were described in the Game Informer coverage of Origins, but instead all we got was..again.. 2-3 lines of dialogue and a different ending slide.
