Preferably none ^0^

But, if I had to make a choice at gunpoint:

Male: Keith Ferguson or Phil Lamarr (the latter is especially VERY versatile in terms of voice age, on one end FFT's Ramza and on the other FFXII's Reddas). But I can be biased and want Nathan Fillion :D

Female: While I love Jennifer Hale's work, I think it's nice to have another talented actress voicing Lady Hawke. Maybe Tara Strong? I've heard her in a sweet voice and a gravelly masculine voice, so perhaps she can strike a fine balance between those two? As for my totally unobjective choice, Aisha Tyler because I looooove her as badass Lana Kane in Archer ^o^

I'd rather they pick someone unknown. If we don't recognize the voice, we will be better able to project ourselves onto the character.

I'd like Phil Lamarr - he has a great range and he's very good.

Female: Oh, I dunno - Grey DeLisle would be a good candidate, she's good at doing a British accent, though I'd honestly prefer a native English speaker.

Oh, I'd definately support him! I don't like it when he does an American accent, but that's hardly relevant to a game where Fereldans are British.

No one.

Barring that, Tarante11a. For both genders. Because then at least I'll be listening to someone pleasant.

Ever since Marjolaine, I don't trust anyone without a native accent. Some people can fake it effectively, but let's play it safe please.

A great voice actor can sound like several completely different people, it's not a problem. Grey DeLisle would be awesome as a Female Hawke because she's really versatile - she's done VO as a sexy vampire and as a young kid and she's been difficult to pick out regardless of what she's doing. She did VO for Velanna, but I can't comment on that, since I haven't played it.

Of course, there are exceptions - everyone is going to recognize the deep voice of Lt. Worf. But my point still stands.

For a Male Hawke, Micheal Bell (Raziel) would be an excellent choice as well.

Do they have to have a British accent? Besides, Hawke is in the Free Marches - I'm sure you can hand-wave it with "oh, people talk differently here than they do in Ferelden!"

It really isn't that big of a deal IMO. Just pick the most appropriate voice actor for the role.

Yes Grey DeLisle as Lady Hawke's voice would be awesome.  I love her work and I'm always surprised to find out that she voiced so-and-so.  Very versatile.

Going off present DAO/A and DLC I thought the following characters had easy on the ear voices dialogue not inclued..lol

Anders
Nathaniel
Alistair
Teegan (I think that's enough)

Female voices, I don't care as long as it's easy on the ear and not like Isold, Leliana or Wynn

IF EA/BW read this thread whoever they choose PLEASE no fake English accents and no regional accents for heavens sake.

I was under the impression that he was from Lothering. It seemed like most Humans in Ferelden had British accents. If having a Ferelden Human without a British accent is fine with them then it's fine with me...I'd just rather they not fake it.

if I have to be 'forced' to hear my PC speak, I'd want him to be voiced by James Earl Jones. :D

(and there better be an easter egg 'dark lord' set :P )

For FemHawke: Torri Higginson? ('cause Claudia Black is, hopefully, still a major NPC's voice...)

If he's from Ferelden, a British accent is a must.

If he's from the Free marches? A German accent.

I want the chap that voiced the bandit just outside of Lothering to step in and take over the part of the male Hawke. That guy was absolutely brilliant, and he made the game for me.

As for the female Hawke, I honestly don't know. I imagine a soft, quiet voice with a hint of steel, but that's probably just me, and I have no idea who could manage that anyway.

Same. If they get a British voice actor who sounds great, then fantastic, but if not, it's hardly an issue. The two actors I named in my previous post were both American anyways. Although to be fair, Bell managed to pull off a good, dark English accent in Legacy of Kain.

Like I said, they could simply hand-wave the American accent. "Oh, Commander Hawke escaped from Ferelden when he was just a child, and he's lost his accent from living in the Free Marches." I don't mind hand-waving things like this for really minor nit-picks.

alot of people are freaking out that hawke will be fully voice acted, so who are some of the people that if they voiced hawke then you'd be alright with it, for me it would be Cary Elwes

Actually Cary Elwes would be awesome, especially if he does it in Mel Brooks Robin Hood style. :D

Realistically speaking I have hard time thinking Cary's voice on gruff looking character like Hawke. Not deep enough. Or atleast he does look big and gruff on art we have seen so far.

Sir Christopher Lee. The perfect level of refinement for a benevolent leader, and more than able to transmit enough threat for a tyrant.

Half-joking. :P

But seriously:

To be honest based on the cover image I could see Steve Blum voicing Hawke, but we would need someone with a deep voice to voice male Hawke

and to voice female Hawke....can I beg for Laura Bailey? She does great for both cute and sexy voices of women
