I say Steven Blum just because I find his game characters so memorable such as Dawn of War 2: Cyrus, Martellus. DA:O: Oghren. ME2: Wilson. Batman AA: Killer Croc. etc.

I considered this the other day and I think Patrick Stewart would be interesting. Liam Neeson would also be awesome. But I don't mind as long as it's an English person. I think it would just suit it better. Plus, no offence to American voice actors, but when they do the lead Hero they tend to put on this annoying, angry, broody voice. As my Comedic idea, I'm going to say BRIAN BLESSED!!!

Neeson's a good screen actor but he didn't do a really good job in Fallout 3. Malcolm McDowell did a way better job as President Eden.

Yeah, but MacDowell was doing an American accent. Hawke is most likely British.

McDowell has done British-accented characters IIRC. Wouldn't he be a bit too old for a role like Hawke, though?

hehehe, Hudson Hawke :D
*sigh*
I'd still rather no voice, tho'.
But I'm sticking w/ James Earl Jones (w/ easter egg or DLC 'dark lord' set! will it hurt to have a lightsabre in Ferelden?)

Steve Valentine would be a good choice too or Nolan North or maybe Mark Hildreth.

I love some of the choices people are coming out with. Jeremy Irons? Awesome! However I think people are going for actors who are way too old. I mean the general age for Hawke is going to be around the mid 20's? Jeremy Irons, Hugo Weaving and Ralph Fiennes do not sound like they're in their 20's.

I think Bioware'll probably go for a voice actor rather than a celebrity.

^ I really hope so! I can't stand hearing Hollywood actors in animated movies or video games,

Bioware will probably pick a little known name. I mean, I never heard of Alistair's or Leliana's VAs before Dragon Age but they're perfect for those roles

Brian Blessed made Viking: Battle for Asgard for me!

Anyway, my stock answer to these questions is David Bateson since he has the coolest voice ever used in a game, but he'd make such a good companion it would be a shame to waste him on the PC.
