If they had started DA 1 with this is your character (like they did in Mass effect) I believe I would be able to accept it but how can they just decide to change the entire game like this?

Flicking through these threads, and i just cant get my head around it
Why is it, that with all the information they can pick up here from their fans, that bioware has done MANY things in dragon age 2 that we didnt want to happen? We've made it clear time and time again in so many threads what we disliked and liked, but they've gone the other way.
I mean the conversation style for starts. Here i was, worrying they'd stick to the inferior awakening style and we'd lose our origins style, and they've decided to use mass effect type conversation wheel?
Is it really so much to ask in getting what we adored about origins?
Dont even get me started on not getting to continue my warden
Im really not a mass moaner like several folk on here that never seem pleased, but i feel ready to throw my dummy out at these apparent 'confirmed' statements about gameplay
Im not under the impression that they're doing this for us, they're doing a job they love and thats whats important, but as the people that fund it and play it i expected a little more brown nosing, giving us what we want
listen,
U have like 10 line iformation about DA2. Why are u juding it already. It's just silly.
U should w8 untilwe get more information

Or better yet, why not sit and think about the fact that we know basically nothing about this game at this point.

This arguement doesn't hold. DAO sold over 3.2 million copies.....BLunted wrote...

Yes, it does.
While DA:O did sell well, and Mass Effect 2 didn't sell as well as DA:O did. However, ME2's production costs were probably much lower than DA:O and the earnings (profit) ratio was probably much higher than DA:O. As such, it is very easy to understand why Bioware (and EA) decided to go this route with DA2 that they did. Make a game that costs the same as ME2 to prouce, then sell it for a full game price, and earn money pr. game than for DA:O...
