Hi, just wondering if anyone is as worried as me about the DA 2 console ports sucking as much as the DA: O ones did. I personally felt robbed when I saw how inferior the console ports were to the PC version, mainly because of the limited camera angles.

I agree totally even the top reviewers have commented on how dumbed down and inferior the console versions are compared to the PC version and they were pretty disappointed. The game was clearly made for PC ONLY and then stripped down over and over again to accomodate the consoles and still there are noticeable slowdowns and horrible washed out textures. If they took time and developed each console version seperately though I think DAO on consoles would have been a MUCH better game. Here's hoping DA2 isnt the same cheap port. Also PLZ give the ability to zoom out and set character positions while paused without having to move them manually like the PC version

In my opinion, BioWare should make the mouse and keyboard mandatory for the console versions. There is no way anyone can play an RPG like Dragon Age without a mouse and keyboard.

Consoles do have hardware limitations, yes, but the greatest limitation remains the controller. And yes, I do own a PS3 Slim and I am quite aware how limiting console controllers can be. A controller offers none of the flexibility that a mouse and keyboard setup does.

Hardware+mouse would be a nice option for consoles, but shouldn't be mandatory. I'd just like to be able to position my party without having to manually move them.

Also, whatever they plan to do with combat for the consoles, I hope they don't just make it a dumbed down hack and slash compared to the pc version. I actually liked the tactical combat of DA1.
