A more story based fade could be fun

I liked the Fade the first few times through DA:O, found it generally more interesting than the Awakenings one. The first time you change into a Golem was one of my key 'wow, cool!' moments.
I use 'skip the fade' now, but only because I'm keen to get to the bits I want to do differently.

maybe we could make the fade more interesting if you could have more influence.... for example random dreamers whose dreamsu can influde so u can "navigate" in a special direction....

I'm all for removing the fade in DA2, but please find another way to give me the 20 extra attribute points.

I'd like to see the fade again. But perhaps find a way to do it better.

Although I agree the Fade sequence in the Circle Tower was rather dull, it was the Fade that made the Magi Origin the most enjoyable origin of all, at least in my humble opinion. Plus, the Fade in DA:A was really good (I have awakening I just haven't registered it yet). Besides the Fade wasn't anymore dull than the tunnels of Orzammar. Going through the same tunnels over and over again, killing the same enemies over and over. At least the Fade required some focus and creativity.

I agree. Lost in dreams was the worst quest ever. Hopefully they've learned.rooky91 wrote...
I think that any Fade stuff should be left out of DA2, I mean in the first one the whole Fade in the mages tower was the slowest and dullest part of the game. Anyone agree?

There were parts of the Fade I really liked. Meeting Duncan again, watching my companions go through their own personal "nightmares". Even meeting the Desire Demon in Redcliffe Castle. I liked that. but yeah, it could do without crawling through holes and such

The Fade was tedious to play, but it was certainly fun to watch all my companions talk to demons that resembled people from their lives. Morrigan's was particularly hilarious.
The Fade should be done in the manner that it was in Awakening - not too long, yet not too short.

The Fade and the Bridge were the worst parts of Origins

Isn't the Fade connected to Ferelden and the Chantry and the Maker. Hawke is from Lothering, so maybe the Fade will not be the game, or maybe it will get a honorary mention at some point.

lol. I loved the FADE sections. Despite how easy the puzzles were, it's nice to have them, instead of just some linear dungeoun running

I 100% DISAGREE. The fade is cool. What is wrong with you?

I want them to rework the Fade.
The Fade sections in the Circle Tower were HELL. It was like Ocarina's Water Temple all over again.

I'd rather want a sequence where you're not in a blurry dreamscape, everything appears exactly as normal but it's just too-happy for your own good and when you explore other character's dreamscapes - it isn't in an empty lot filled with characters.
For example, Oghren's dream should've been in the bar at Orzammar while Leliana's should've been at the chantry (ect)

I enjoyed the fade sections, I would however enjoy them more if they were less combat heavy.

The Fade is where our Warden and Morrigan went to to protect their baby....lol they want to be left alone.

Make the fade longer and have a better plot.

No. The Fade seems to constitute a fundmental (if poorly understood) part of the setting's cosmology. They *could* choose to ignore it, but I don't think that'd be a good idea from a storytelling point of view.
I'd agree that Fade part of the mage quest wasn't too great, but that was a problem of level design, not the Fade itself.

I liked the Fade. But I also like puzzles. And I can finish the Fade really really quickly with a mage. Rogue takes a little longer. Warrior is slowest, because there's usually no way for the Warrior to get around the shapeshifting requirement. Except for the golems, I can usually do that without shifting.
But I do hate the visual effect of the Fade. It gives me a headache if I stare at it too long.
