So I read about how DA2 is to have a 10-year ingame story arc.  Which leads me to ask the question, will there be a mechanic for seeing your character age over that time period?  I know ten years is not the longest, and it depends of the "canonical" starting age for Hawke, but I'm curious nonetheless.

yea not gonna happen my Lady Hawke will be using day and night cream with Q10 so she would always look in early 20s :]

I hope so TC. It'd be pretty stupid otherwise.

Have it your way, but nothing says heroic like wrinkles and gray hair. Just ask Wynne.

Some aging might happen, but it will most likely happen over a cutscene or some kind of cinematic event, and won't be something you will be able to physically see unless said cutscene is shown, atleast that just my 2 cents

It depends upon how old Hawke is at the beginning. If it's early 20s to early 30s then I don't see there being much difference.

I doubt it, I would assume the character will be around 20 like in Origins.  I don't think the changes of going from 20 to 30 are big enough that BioWare would spend time on them.  Changing hairstyles and beards would be cool, but again, I doubt that will happen.

Hopefully the do show Mike changing over time, graying hair and such, you had better be able to redo his hair/facial hair at certain points as well, Who keeps the EXACT same haircut for 10 years in a time before barbers were invented?

Ezio from Assassins Creed 2, the only indication that he aged at all was that he grew a beard/moustache.

I imagine you're going start the game as a teen like in Fallout 3 before growing into your normal character.

How old is he when he flees Lothering? 20? 30? Maybe he was under 13 and was that kid that you can tell to beat off? lol that would be funny

That would actually be kind of cool if Hawke was the little kid.

I doubt it. Simply because we'll be able to customize his appearance much like in DAO. He/She'll probably start late teens to early twentys and end up late twentys to early thirtys.

Yeah, I find it difficult that they'd be able to make all the customized characters look ten years older.

I don't really like the character aging in games. Look at Fable 1 (Fable The Lost Chapters now) and that aging makes no sense!
I turn off the game to have some dinner and my hero ages 10 years! WTF?!
It would be nice if it worked, but I think Lionhead stopped doing that aging now.
