Alright there where some special armors for the Warriors in DA:O, Like the Juggernaut and Acient Elven Armour too name a few, that look unique.

And the Mages had some diffrent robes as well. What i REALY want to see are some unique Rogue armour. I mean you only had the regular and studded armor, and only the colour is diffrent. The same counts for the so called special armours like Shadow of the Empire and Felon's Coat even the Battledress from Leiliana only has some diffrent colour.

So what i ask, can the designers change the Rogue armors a bit more? Most Rouge armours only have some minor barly noticeble changes except for coulour.

I agree with this. It was somewhat disappointing saving up all that money for the Felon's Coat only for it to look identical to every other suit of armour. And while they're at it, they should add more medium armour too, make it a viable alternative rather than something you just use in early part of the game.

i would prefer if we would have armor system like mass effect 2. some basic sets of armor for each class who look different from each other with different perks, but you could upgrade parts of the armor or robes by buying better parts or by leveling up or something.

considering they'll only have two body types to work with now, there should be no excuse for shafting mages and rogues again.

I agree. Also, some decent helmets/hoods/masks that you can keep on during conversations.

I bet they do the same as ME 2 when it comes to Armours.

You mean no inventory?

I liked how they handled Shep's armour in ME2. The party member's armour... not so much.

It made sense that you'd hold onto one suit of armour and just tweak it, instead of binning it and buying a new set. So I'd prefer a system like that... as long as we get more options anyway.

Armour pieces to buy, like ME2, with a smaller number of more significant upgrades for each, slot, yeah, I'd like that. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and predict this will happen. The ME->ME2 transition did very well at throwing away useless inventory management and juggling of insignificant upgrades, and I think it was well received on the whole. Although DA:O's inventory was nowhere near the shambles we got in ME, still, doing the same in DA2 would give us less time wasted comparing shop inventories and more time roleplaying.

(I have confidence they won't throw the baby out with the bathwater and we'll still be finding legendary swords in ruins and having armour made from the scales of the dragon we slew.)

But please no "iconic look" for Hawke like the N7 armour for Shepard -- we have different classes, they should look different, hopefully with some more variety in the appearance of gear for each class, too (and fewer ridiculous feathery shoulder pads for mages?)

It could be a possebility that there will be some smith in your camp that makes you customize your armour.
I mean if you look at Hawke's concept art it looks like they put some work in his armour.

Then again Morrigan had an unique Mage Robe and you could change hers.
I just hope for better armours for my character in any way, including helmets, there where some boring helmets in DA:O
only some of the warrior helmets looked cool, like the Grey Warden helmets or the helmets they used for th Juggernaut and King Cailan armours

If theyre using the same engine and release a toolset it would be pretty stupid to do the same thing as me2 did. The community would release their own armor anyway. Of course without a toolset, Bioware could do what theyre doing with Me2 and release armor as dlc and make moneys.

i don't think they'll do a system like they did in ME2, for the inventory is right conjuncted to the combat system.

Just like character creation, armor selection will be "steamlined."

All armor will be some kind of plate mail. Rogues and Mages will get talents that allow them to be special use it as well.

Can you explain it a little more then that?

Taking out race options is hardly streamlining (and I mean in the bad way) character creation.

The lack of choice between mage robes was just as disappointing as the lack of choice between leather armours, IMO. Just as there were two leather armour models, there were two robe models. One looked mundane, the other looked completely ridiculous. Considering they're cloth garments designed for style rather than protection, the opportunity exists for Bioware's artists and modellers to go nuts in DA2. I really hope we see some better robes.
