Maybe the statue of St. Magnus, standing on a dragon in Kirkwall (St. Olaf)
was more inspiring than Mr. Shatner's character name in st tos...

Could also have been the  chinese porter beer in the local Golden
Dragon reataurant there :innocent: (just kidding)

Far be it from little old me to correct the lead designer, but don't you mean Free Marches? :P

Damn. That's one of the things I'll do from time to time-- it's one of the place names that changed at some point (I forget why) and so I sometimes still call it by the old name. Far Reaches = Free Marches.

I'll say it.

You uh, do realise this was 8 months ago, right? Necro'ing a topic isn't exactly the best thing to do.

Tolkien could get away with just making up original names because he had a made-up language to use.

So do the BioWare writers.

I can't help but wonder if you've been waiting months for someone to necro this thread so you could post that :P

On second thought, let's not go to Kirkwall. 'Tis a silly place.
