well since you can go to purple lady's post of all the albums, to view each one in the original challenge thread, I think it would be fine to have an open vote. Also some of the noobs can see some really creative work as well as the possibilities open to them.

I'm fine with that. It was just that this was not distinctively noted in the rules, that's all.
Maybe Anacronian Stryx can clear this up as well.

As per the original requirements of this competition, here are my findings:

However, if you wish to use the modified requirements, disregard QuanziZ, Mystranna Kelteel, Anacronian Stryx, Purple Lady, Hanik Arran, Linarc, and B09boy from my rankings for either withdrawing, using portraits and/or using a photo-editing program to manipulate the images.

If it has been edited, it is no longer a screenshot. These edited images were taken into consideration when I rated them, and whether or not their exclusion would influence their score is unknowable, so according to the new requirements those 7 albums are disqualified.

I believe this is against the original purpose of the competition as stated here:

Honestly, that was a fun topic and I'm glad everyone came forward to participate. I enjoyed looking through all of the wonderful characters you have all found in the Character Creator. The more instances you share, the better we will understand them (see Dalish Ranger's album to see what I mean). Besides, to say that allowing the expression slider in the competition imbalances things in favor of those that use it is to insult the integrity of the judges. If you think we can't judge impartially or that we can't really tell what kind of character we're being shown, why are you bothering to host the contest at all? Answer: The results are awesome of course.

My rating criteria were:
- proportions of face and selection of colors
- originality (at least to some extent - for example you can spot many female mages "inspired by" Mariko around)
- how well the character fits his/her origin and class (of course that's subjective but hey - for me a dwarf must look
like a dwarf, an elf distinguishable from a human on first glance and a mage a bit more sophysticated/intelligent
/mysterious than a warrior)
- how I imagine them too look together as a group (mainly looking for diversity here)

(EXCLUDED - still I think it deserves the place on my favourite list so just disregard it for rating purpose
1. Anacronian Styrx - your group looks amazingly diverse and I think their looks reflect their origin very nicely. Also  2 of my favourites can be found among them - namely Astor and Mariko.)

1.Daem3an - again great diversity and non classical approach to many origins but they seem to fit together very nicely. I especially LOVE Drake.

2. Hanik Arran - and not because of the poster though it's amazing as I said before Not sure I like the colors you chose on your mage though but she surely looks twisted. Love Finbar and Hanik.

3. Riot Inducer - Helena's looks certainly bring out the "What I am capable of and will be party to
in order to retain it would chill your soul." - amazing work.

4. Johnny Jaded - your characters reflect their origin very well (except for the Dalish maybe), love your dwarven commoner

5. Purple Lady - eventhough your Aeria and Dezdemona look kinda similar, I do like your non classic approach to dwarven makeup giving it that dark gothic look. Also I could see Aeria replacing Tarja in Nigthwish to much better effect than Anette for what it's worth . Also love Gabriel and Grashkar is just as a dwarf should be. The only one that doesn't stand out for me is Estrel.

...after reviewing a number of my high rated albums to find a new 5th spot (damn you Anacronian :innocent:) again a special mention goes to valeymann88 but your group is still too soft for me when put together- otherwise great entry and to Aris Ravenstar as her/his? album is without doubt the best in terms of posing - lots of work most have gone into that also without doubt hosts a number of great characters: your Dalish:wub:, mage and dwarven commoner, however I found your dwarf to be too soft and city elf too humanish for my taste.

PS: Oh and Hanik first of all thank you very much for your praise of Lylandris and Barros (interestingly enough those two got the least love in this thread so far though I consider them the best of my characters too) I could send you Lylandris' file though people are saying that those don't come out quite correctly so I could also take screenies of the sliders instead. Let me know your preffered method

Thanks! Yeah, I know my dwarf is a bit soft. I get this idea that he's the soft-spoken pretty-boy of the dwarf world. My friend said his dwarf would call mine a nancyboy wimp, ::snicker::
