I am playing Mass 2 through for the 2nd time. I started at level 28 and once I got to level 30 it is no longer letting me level up. I am getting experience from each mission, but I have stayed at level 30 for quite a while. Any thoughts on what I need to do to keep leveling from here?

You can't. Level 30 is the cap.

They got me with that one too. In ME1 I was L48 and I assumed ME2 would have the same level cap. On my second playthrough I developed my companions in a way that was not optimum since I thought there was time to develop them more fully. Suddenly, it was not possible to develop them further and the limitations were permanent since there is no way to reallocate the points for other squadmembers.

Halving the level cap was a bizarre thing for the developer to do especially considering that most customers had completed ME1 and would not expect it.

Agreed. Now I have these loose points to spend, but I don't have quite enough to spend it on a talent. I would have chosen more wisely had I known I'd stop at level 30. Pretty lame. I like the old point system in which you can buy each individual block. I hope they go back to some of the classic features of ME1 when developing ME3, like the buy/sell economy system. I maxed out my credits because of that. I also miss the more-customizable and diverse weapon upgrade system. I like how ammo is taken care of in ME2, but not the variety in weapons and their individual upgrades.

Sorry for the delay jpgarcia87 but I was away for a while.

The ME1 armour and weapons system were more complex but I don't mind the simpler system in ME2. Back around December I got to see all the weapon types I wanted in the Borderlands. They have 87 bazillion different guns or some precise number like that.

The level cap in ME2 really only affected my second play through because I was prepared for the limit after that. Perhaps the cap in the next one will be higher.Whatever it is they should put it in the manual so players will know about it and plan accordingly.
