So if we want to grab the Mac version we pretty much have to give up SE then don't we?
If you got the SE for PC, the disc also works for Mac.

Another advantage of the WIN/Mac hybrid package is that the price would probably drop faster for the retail version, contrary to the custom to keep Mac game prices high over years even when you can already find the Win version for $10...
BTW. thanks for confirming this. I'm finding it more and more annoying to use Boot Camp these days, so being able to (apparently) use my old PC saves and get DA2 to play in OS X makes me a really happy Camper (pun semi-intended).Marvin_Arnold wrote...
With DA:O, the saves are transferrable from PC to Mac and back without problem. The directory structure inside [$documentfolder]/BioWare is the same. Saves and addins work on both sides.
So, back to my question, the advantage of a Steam version is that you store your personal game files online? I don't think I need that. When I last played a Steam game, I found the need to be online while playing more annoying than useful.

I'm DD like many people here, and I haven't heard anyone address whether there will be a dual version on services like Steam or Impulse yet.

Ok, I bite: Are you Dolby Digital or Dunkin’ Donuts?
Oh, right! Ok. (*head hits desk top*)
