He was really the highlight of that expansion.

Pretty much (well, Justice was another great companion but he wasn't exactly human). If he can make a cameo, or even a full-fledged appearance, I'm all for it.

No, because I think Bioware hates us.

Sad to say, but I'm beginning to agree.  Sniff. Image IPB

I think it might be a bit far fetched to think Hawke will run into ONE rogue in all of the Free Marches.

I understand, but real life logic shouldn't be our concern here, afterall there are so many "virtually impossible" facts in Origins and Awakenings storylines.

Also, as Utoryo pointed out,  Nathaniel "wasn't just in the Free Marches - he was (at least at one point in
time) at Kirkwall".

Then I expect Hawke to give Nathaniel a brofist when they inevitably meet up.

LOL, indeed!

It's not inevitable, but I believe that the chances of him appearing are rather huge (at least compared to the chances of other Origins/Awakenings characters).

That would be a nice touch too... that way we would certainly feel that both stories (Dragon Age Origin's and Dragon Age 2's) are somewhat linked (although there are other ways to show that, of course).

I've been wondering this a bit as well. As much as I would like to see Nathaniel, I don't think it's likely. At least not as a companion. Perhaps at the beginning he could be around or at least be seen somewhere, but it would be sorta silly to have him tag along Hawke for a little while and then just abruptly leave to go back home to Amaranthine and join up with the Warden. I suppose it's possible, though, but it's hard to tell since we don't know DA2's timeframe. Yes, it spans over ten years, but I'm pretty sure I read that it does NOT take place ten years after Origins.

Still, I agree that out of all companions, he's the one we would most likely see.

I like Nathaniel. So stoic.

I think he would have been my choice for Awakening romance, had we done them.

Oooh! Interesting. I wonder how it would have been pulled off? Especially with a female human noble. Now THAT would be something I'd like to see.

*Sigh*  Me too, Mr. Gaider.
Here's hoping we see him again somewhere down the line.Image IPB

If only he wasnt a rouge and I wasnt a mage who needed a rouge. If only Sigrun had turned up that much sooner.

He was a good character but it felt all to brief in Awakenings. Sigrun was also cool, well voiced with nice character design, much better than annoying Oghren, he sucks and should have died.

I like to think that in some other universe where the Blight didn't happen at that particular point in time (and thus Loghain didn't betray the king leading to the slaughter of the Cousland family etc.) my human noble and Nathaniel are happily married. Not that she doesn't love Alistair, but Nathaniel certainly got me wondering about what might have been. Building a friendship with him was my favourite part of Awakening.

(Well, that and Sir Pounce-A-Lot ...)

Nate is great, but Anders is totally in love with my Orlesian Grey Warden (the approval bar tells me so!)  She can't have Alistair, so Anders would be the next best thing.

It was the cat, I'm a sucker for guys who love kitties.
