Well he has a beard but we all know we can customize our appearance. So I really hope if it is not armor but some sort of mutation, then it is optional.

HAHA, no I am not "goth" in any way   Everyone in the Emo/Goth/ICP scene is by definition a poser.  Their entire fandom is about dressing up, wearing makeup and posing.

The Hawke armor looks exactly like something you'd see in a video for one of those Euro Goth bands.

Even sillier is his muscle shirt one arm, EMO GOTH POSER JRPG clawed right arm.  Aesthetically it looks like some campy action Devil May Cry type set up.

I really don't want DA going in the Bayonetta direction

We already saw them in DAO, i.e. the metal golems. Though they did have a real Dwarf's mind inside them maybe not the actual organic mind but the info it stored.

Yeah, the correct term for Hawke would have been cyborg.

I like the look of the armour personally, not as flamboyant as most of the armour in DA:O i like the touch of the fur collar, i think it all looks pretty bad ass, and no i am not goth or emo, i chop[ there heads off with my axe.

That picture is awesome.

I do think his armour is pretty good but this thread is about Hawke's arm.

I thought at first it was a artefical arm to replace his arm that was lobbed of by some Darkspawn, orthers think his arm is a claw and that he armored it to cover it up and some think it's armored because it isn't as heavy as going fully armored so it gives him more mobilety.

Dude, synthetic arms are a pretty old idea. I'm sure some people can come up with earlier ones, but Cyborg from DC Comics...Barret from FFVII...

It's a pretty popular idea. Regardless, I'm not really sure that's what Hawke has.

Hmm... A clawed gauntlet. Must be a real doozy on the recieving end of a Super Mega Hawke [b-word] slap.

Anyways, going with more protection on the right side of his body (right arm and right leg both have extra armor over the other side) does that make Hawke a leftie? I would assume in melee combat, you would present the more armored side closer to the enemy.

Its.....armor.....seriously, I thought we stitched this debate up already.  It's NOT some sort of wierd prosthetic or whatever lol....It's simply armor....simply.  Buuuuut dont let ME be the one to burst the bubble, wait and see when the game hits the shelves

And as long as you realize that it is exactly that, an OPINION......Because if you tried to pass it off as fact you might have actually sounded like you have something against Emo's and Goths....To which then, you and I sir/madam, would have issues....And by issues I mean most likely some heated debate starting.  To which either one or both of us would end up banned for.....Since I dont want that and you obviously dont want that....Lets just go ahead and agree to disagree with your PoV and pity you for hating something you obviously dont know much about? K bye
