Ok so I have been hearing that we shall see Flemeth in the game and that we shall be very surprised when we learn the identity of the Dragon Lady in the promotional poster hinting that the Dragon Lady is someone we know.

So what if Flemeth is the Dragon Lady?

Its not that big a stretch, ok for some reason Morrigan wants to give birth to a demon god baby but we have no idea what she intends to do with it, however we do know that Flemeth intended to steal Morrigans body and now since most of us destroyed Flemeth's old body she is in desperate need of a new one (which Morrigan is afraid will be hers). Now at the end of Dragon Age 2 we know that Morrigan did a runner with the child and was possibly trying to hide from Flemeth, but what if Flemeth did find her? What if to save her own life Morrigan offered the baby as a sacrifice and new body for Flemeth to inhabit?

Yes I know a lot of you diddnt do the Dark Ritual and dont want the Dark Ritual to be canon but it is an interesting theory no?

Nah, Flemmeth is dead. Very dead. So dead that even if she reincarnates, she reincarantes as a corpse.

But Morrigan has the Grimmoire, she knows how to perform that spell. So, she will rise her god daughter and then take control over her.

DA2 is set during and 10 years after the blight. Not enough time has passed.

If the child aged naturally, then Malsumis is correct.

DA2 is set during the last Blight and lasts 10 years, not 10 years after the Blight.

Morrigan is Flemmeth.  Flemmeth is an idea, a concept, not a specific person.

Flemmeth herself even says that names don't matter much, think of Flemmeth as like a superhero: the same person isn't always going to be that superhero but it doesn't matter who it is when they use the name.

But where does it say that the game is set 10 years after the blight?

Morrigan stated that Flemmeth isn't truely dead, that she will be back one day.

Ok where are you people getting your information? Please post a source so I know you arent speaking out of your arse.

All I can see is that Dragon Age 2 is set over a 10 year time span, however we have no idea when those 10 years start. For all we know it could be 10, 20, 30 years after the blight.

Good theory. That could be possible.

Well magic is involved. You can't say they cannot speed the growth of the child, unless you have some clear rules what magic is capable of or not. While I would like the idea of Flemeth being reborn and the 'puppeteer' (as Loghain would call it) of the events that lead to Morrigan giving birth to her new, godly, body, I have same concern as OP. Either we can import our savegame, then the DR cannot be canon. Or it is canon, then we cannot improt our savegame. Of course, Morrigan could have found other ways maybe. I mean, she left the night before they marched on Denerim, which takes a couple of weeks probably. Enough time to find a solution. Maybe it's name is Riordan ...
