Here is a theory on why Morrigan wants the god child and what she intends to do with it.



We know Flemeth is alive. Morrigan said she had no doubts that she was still alive and would come after her again one day. Also it's been confirmed "Flemeth" is in DA2. She said she needed to be ready when Flemeth came after her. Flemeth wanted Morrigan to have this god child. "It's why she sent me with you in the first place." It was obviously her plan all along. She might have even planned for Morrigan to find out(based on how she reacts when you encounter her) so she could take Morrigan's body whilst the god baby was inside to increase her power even further.



Regardless, Morrigan probably plans to raise the child and take the body for herself in order to defend herself against Flemeth when she does return for her.

Just read the DA2 article in Game Informer. They said "Morrigan's story is definitely not over." which means she still lives!

Interesting theory.  I'm not sure that Morrigan could take the body because she says that it's useless unless you are an "ancient abomination of legend."  I'm convinced that Flemeth is connected to the old gods in some way and may even be one of them that is freed from the taint seeing as she can turn into a dragon at will.  Her ability to see into the future shows that she is more than just a pride demon.  She is someone who can see and shape fate I am guessing; and that is why she came into contact with your warden and now Hawke.  It would be interesting if Morrigan was a returning companion (I think someone has to be and she's the best candidate) and even more so if she and Flemeth reunited and Flemeth sent her with you.

In all likelyhood the reincarnated Urthemiel will be male as it's been depicted as before...

I don't think any of us want to see Flemeth OR Morrigan like THAT!

@OP - It is an interesting theory, would be a poor M. Night Shyamalan film... But I can think of some spectacular way of which your theory would be true: The only way I see Morrigan being Flemeth, at least by body, is if Flemeth managed to possess Morrigan.

After all, The body of Flemeth that we killed wasn't Flemeth's own body. According to the true lord of Flemeth, which can be found by talking to Morrigan, she possessed the bodies of her daughters in order to preserve her youth and beauty (more so prevent her from dying from decrepitude).

Otherwise, I think you might be on the pipe a little too much. lol

Edit: M Night Shyamalan apparently works at a hot dog stand now. His last movie more than defined his average work experience with directing films.

Heh anyone can make a good twist! M Night here, on the other hand, takes a Twizzlers candy bar and wraps it and wraps it and wraps it. Takes a towel and wraps and wraps and wraps. Finds a hurricane and/or tornado and finds some way to fuse them all together chemically and release it into a movie, thus not only removing all truth from the film, but leave people wondering why all their wallets just wind up a little thinner.

I think the lady is Flemeth because we kill her, and Morrigan even states that she will be back. Also, Alistair even says that Morrigan looks just like Flemeth--so that lady should probably look like Morrigan, maybe? I just find it too hard to believe that Morrigan could've traveled all the way to the Free Marshes when it says in the epilogue that Morrigan leaves towards Orlais (either Frostback Mountains which is bordering Orlais, or to Orlais itself).

That's not that far, and in DA travel time means nothing.

Wynne was supposed to be in tevinter helping shale and yet here she pops up in ameranine just after a few months. Maybe the circle there had a teleportation spell. Who knows?

If I had to vote I'd say the pic is flemeth, it seems a better choice than old *God* baby or Morrigan.

Flemmeth is either morrigans superbaby, which used its supernatural powers to grow up superfast or,

Morrigan dropped the superbaby and she's taken then "mantle" of Flemeth.

OR Morrigan was Flemeth all along and wanted the child because it'll make her more powerful.

If it's that way I'm a prophet, if not, who cares? Gotta love making risk-free predictions.

proof that flemeth is in morrigans body, of corse there r some small detail changes such as the lips being smaller, the eyes angle and nose bridge being a little different, but thats kinda what you would expect with more detail and better human like 3d mesh.
 and i really liked morrigan to...
